I was at the game and man was it fun! I was screaming my head off trying to get the folks around me hyped up lol. And Queta was playing for the Kings G-league affiliate. He was battling with Wiseman in the gleague back when we had him down there. Looks like he got picked up by yhe C’s

Such a jolt of life seeing TJD in there swatting Jaylen Brown and Kuminga attacking the boards and locking up Tatum. If TJD actually gets the minutes he's supposed to that changes the equation and maybe we don't need to trade for a rim protector. Next step for Kerr is to play Wiggins, Kuminga, and TJD together 😂 baby steps The only other thing I think we need is a reliable second shot creator, unfortunately probably means moving CP3 who I've grown fond of, but his presence just creates these 3 and 4 guard lineups that put us at too much of a disadvantage. The question now with Kuminga playing like this is is it worth it to move him for that piece? I feel like at this point I'd rather move Wiggins and I guess it depends on who the other team would want. But Siakim or Donovan Mitchell would def be a needle mover, I'd have to green light Kuminga in a trade if those 2 are on the table. Also a good Kerr game overall even though it was baffling to start Loon in the second half and force us to make a second comeback. Might be nitpicking but those CoJo minutes were outrageous given the matchup and how well Kuminga was playing. Also our friend Tatum getting clamped by 38 year old Chris Paul was comedy lmao

It's hilarious how much of a night and day difference it is on both offense and defense with Trayce out there compared to Loon. The Dynasty started with a rim protector and vertical threat in Bogut, and it's high time that piece became a core part of our identity again.

Chris Paul. What a difference it is closing games with him on the floor. takes just enough pressure off Steph. He's always communicating, always gathering the players together. Great leader. Finally a vet who really communicates with everyone, including the young guys. Also so happy to see Kuminga playing like this. The benching may have been just what his career needed. Just keep playing with a high motor, young man.

This seems like the best we can play. Can we keep up this energy, focus, etc? Its actually refreshing to see Kerr allow the young guns (or those who are "on") play in the game. Just this shift from Kerr is a hopeful sign.

TJD and Klay have good chemistry, JK and Moody also. Chef and GP2, CP3 and Saric. On the other hand, Loon and Wig are the odd men, never too in tones with others. Pod and Green can fit with anyone. If I trade, Wig and Loon are the ones I would trade, in return I would take talent and size.

TJD running in transition is huge too, really opens things up for everyone. I can’t imagine Kerr starting him but it’s obvious he needs to play. Much love for the Loongod but god damn it looks like he moves at 0.5x speed out there. I rewatched the highlights vs the Celtics in the finals and bro could actually catch an alley oop and get an oreb for an immediate dunk.. none of this triple pump fake pass out to a shooter bullshit from this season.

I was gonna say, I remember Queta in preseason with the Kings. He looked solid then, looks solid now. Really hope we can find a way to add a high motor big who provides some rim protection and pressure, I still believe we have the pieces aside from that. Maybe TJD is that guy, but still feels like we need one more player in that general mold.

I think, going forward, CP3 and Wiggins make a lot of sense. As you've always said, Wiggins needs to be force-fed the ball in advantageous situations. That isn't Steph's strong suit, as he likes to play so loose and free. But you know who will make sure he takes the shots he needs to take...CP3. Not to mention, a better roller in Kuminga with Steph makes a lot of sense as well. And we all know no one has to "force-feed" Kuminga.

Agree 100% on Draymond sucking the air out of the room. Man just makes it all about himself. It surprises me how many defenders he still has; on a recent one of Alch's YT vids a bunch of people were still saying that "we have no defense" without Draymond. Time to abandon that mentality, it's nonsense. Draymond is not the Steph Curry of our defense, he was playing like trash, he kills chemistry, he turns it over, and he's old. Time to move on.

Kuminga again flashing that DPOY potential as an elite on-ball defender against the best wings in this league. How much longer before he surpasses Wiggins as the best on-ball defender on this team? Wiggins is probably still better at defending smaller guards but playing 33 minutes without committing a single foul while defending Brown and Tatum is incredible. The more he plays, the better he will be at understanding what he can and cannot get away with on the defensive end. I wonder if Lacob has ever thought about bringing Andre back in as a coach similar to the role Steve Nash used to have with KD.

I'm liking Klay at the 3. I really like JK at the 4. Having a true center in Trace Jr makes everything easier, and it also highlights that position as our biggest area of need. This team has to get another center. Podz is a great story and a huge hustle guy/connector, but this team is still a solid Scoring Guard away from contention.

TJD unlocks so much on offense and defense. Immediately no more over helping and just trusting the big athlete back there. And then the safety valve and vertical spacing on offense. He might be the “starting center of the next 10 years” that Fitz was talking about when we had Wiseman 😂

I'm I crazy to think that we almost had too much depth this year so it ended up blurring the rotation picture, now with the injuries and suspension it's forced the picture to be more defined

Yessir!!! This is what we have been asking for and it's sad kerr hand has to be forced instead of doing what is best for the team. Next steph is actually seeing kerr implement plays for jk to use his big time scoring ability. Looney inability to contest shots as well as finish or pass is glaring and can kill a lineup. Probably won't happen but looney should be getting dnps on many nights. When draymond comes back it shouldn't even be considered to start him, he has forfeited that right....get in where you fit in, it's a new era

I agree with this a lot. Sort of that idea about not being able to see what you actually have because you have too much and not enough opportunity to test it all. I think it's also important for the players who are injured and suspended to SEE what other possibilities and outcomes are available. A lot of the core, and even Steph, seems to assume that this "next man up" stuff is just temporary until they get the gang back together. But it should be open season for a brand new way of doing things now. Here's to hoping Steve keeps tinkering

I’m glad Dre is out as it allows JK to come into his own. Dre’s drama machine me me me makes it difficult for younger players to prosper It’s time to consider a trade for Dre unless he is willing to accept humility. Strong player can be tough and humble

Easily the most enjoyable game to watch of the season and I think that would have been the case even if we had lost. They competed all the way and most everyone apart from Wiggins and Loon played well. The crowd seemed into it to in way they generally haven't been through most of the season. I think Dre and possibly Wiggins should be moved or if it's going to be CP that we want to get an expiring deal back in the trade. they are going to have to shed a lot of salary before next season to get under the 2nd apron. As well they have to decide if they can afford to pay JK and Moody. It will be criminal if they are forced to ship them out because they'd rather cling to the past.

With all the huzzahs don’t forget that it took Kerr until midway through the 2nd quarter to realize the Warriors were being bullied inside and that maybe, just maybe, he had someone on the bench who could solve that problem. I was yelling at the screen, “put him in you idiot”. Moody is still part of the puzzle. He deserves minutes with his hussle and shot making. And don’t trash Looney. He was key to three championships, he signed for below market money twice to stay with the core group. He deserves celebration…….but it’s time for him to sit for 80% of the game. Draymond is still a terrific player but his mind is not on basketball. He wants to transition to the media and he hasn’t the self discipline to avoid trouble. I don’t see how they can get market value for him, but keeping him makes no sense either.

Uh, we literally just beat the supposed best team in the NBA without Dray... He'll of course be getting minutes, they aren't just going to fire him from the team and send him to China, but yes in the short term he comes off the bench or just gets less minutes, and he gets a minimum contract. I doubt any team will want him, anyway, we're kind of stuck with him in that sense because he's become a pariah.

I remember an interview a few years ago where Lacob said re breaking up the core: “well it’s always better to do it too early than too late”. For emotional reasons, that’s obv easier said than done. But if that’s what he considers the discipline of an owner, he must have kicked himself at various points during the beginning of this season because he feared that he’d done exactly what he knew he shouldn’t: hold on to aging players too long. For that reason, I wonder whether Klay’s resurgence and Drays new offense (despite the tomfoolery, he’s been great on the court) might paradoxically work against them surviving on the team. It’s like when you have a stock that you know you should sell but wait too long and it tanks. That can put the fear of god in you and make you say, “if I get another bite at the apple, I’m not gonna hesitate”. If Dray or Klay are rolling into the deadline, I wonder if Lacob will feel that it’s time to get out while the getting is good cause he’s seen the future and it ain’t pretty…

I think it's safe to say, after witnessing how the scoring threat and athleticism of JK and TJD changed our front court, that there's no going back to the Looney-Draymond pairing in the front court, not only to start but at any point of any game right.... right? The need for size is absolutely critical, and unless I see the front office and Kerr acknowledging that my doubts about the season remain. TJD is a good START, but what about when he's inevitably injured? Looney looks all the way washed.

If TJD gets injured, then that's what the management gets for not acknowledging your concerns, which I completely agree. The real travesty wouldn't be if TJD gets injured. It's if they choose to play Looney or Saric over him like they were before Draymond gets back. A front court of Draymond, TJD and Kuminga could be so deadly with Steph and Klay, then rotating in GP2, Poj, and Moody wherever you see fit, is perfect. Rotate in Wiggins and Saric for Dray and Kuminga, and the brief Looney for TJD when he's tired. That sounds like a damn decent team to me

Trayce and Dray do not play the same position, one is a 5 and the other a 4. The one who could take Dray's spot is JK, even though he's more of a 3. IMO, this is just Kerr being comically stubborn and leaving Looney who has been trash the entire season for #loyalty.
