Alch I need your input on a nickname for Kuminga. Joku. Said like Goku. Enough of this damn Kum Bucket nonses lol

Yehudah Raphaelsohn

Shout out to that female announcer on the Kuminga dunk. She brought some passion. Maybe even oversold it a little, but I'll take that any day over them not doing a play justice.

Anonymous

Moody & Kuminga are looking like really high value picks considering where they were drafted.

Anonymous

Jessup needs to go back to the NBL

Anonymous

Small sample size but it sure seems like we have to keep these drafts. Kuminga could be mind blowing in a couple years. His kind of athleticism is rare but his court awareness is next level for someone so young. Very focused dude. I like him

Anonymous

Kuminga, moody, and wiseman will be good for us and we’ll be dominant again so I’m tired of hearing trade these players unless it’s for one of the top guys in the NBA that’ll actually fit on our team. I like our young players i don’t want them traded we’re building something beautiful

Paul Hanson

Oh I know that there's a very vocal tweet-happy section of the fan base that wants to 'win now'-damn the torpedoes-trade all young un's and get (who?) Simmons or something. If it was Kevin Durant-I'd understand. If it was some other healthy superstar-maybe yes. But really-Ben Simmons? I know, I know-'win now'. But really-what would happen after that if there's nothing in the cupboard after everyone is too old? Personally I'm LOVING watching Kuminga and Moody play. I'd have to say right now I feel they offer more than Wiseman does-because Wiseman has been hurt or unavailable for practice, summer league, etc. Moody especially shows he could really be helpful on the Warriors this year. Moses doesn't seem like a 19-year old; the composure is a relief and welcome sight-especially after the circus ride that was Bazemore.

Loving Moody and Kuminga. McLaughlin looks good. Payton looks good. Jessup needs to get on back to Oz, get a nice place in Sidney. (its not a bad town!) Warriors need the roster spot. There something here I dont see mentioned "enough". These players that come from a Futbol background tend to have precocious feetwork! Olajuwon, Luka, Nash, Antetokounmpo, Kuminga, bla bla.... They tend to have a good awareness of a center of balance. They tend not to out of control, even when young. They can keep their feet underneath them, which is important when learning more complexities in this game. Please Mr, sourpuss Myers. Dont trade our picks! ... jeez, what a sourpuss : I makes me all soft and stuff

athleticalchemy

I hear you..Im just saying now it appears the players are more valuable than the picks. Doesn't always work out that way especially early on. For instance, It be much easier now for Portland to justify sending us Dame for a package around kuminga than the 7th pick

Jansen E

Thank you for mentioning it, I absolutely HATED how they insisted on showing who they were interviewing instead of just showing the game and having us listen. Moody and Kuminga made this game really fun. I cant say anything more than you already didn't. Jessup with the Klay-shot in those final minutes in transition. It looked nice and added to the fire run to end the game. But the dude still cant defend and seems like he cant finish at the rim either. The Mclaughlin dude. Im already pissed. Why? Because we all know for a fact he's not gonna make the Warriors roster. Hes gonna be snatched up by someone else and the first time we play that team, McLaughlins gonna drop a career high on us. I can just see it happening now. Why even bother with this Chiazzo dude when McLaughlin is doing basically everything we want him to do. A good passer, ball handler, and like you pointed out, shooting off screens and a decent midrange game. Who cares if he hasn't shown finishing at the rim. The fact that he doesn't turn the ball over and makes the right plays is good enough for me. We should keep this dude. But unfortunately, he's just gonna be scoring against us in a few months. Is it more or less a done decision that GP2 is gonna make the team? I mean between him and Mulder. Kerr's obsession with Mulder reminds me of his obsession with Wanamaker. Dear god WHY.

KuminGOD and Moody were perfect picks! Was unsure about Kuminga at first but he’s shown so much potential in the SL games!

Anonymous

Kuminga does remind me of Paul George but he’s more comfortable being rugged and physical. George is all finesse and shies away from contact. Kuminga attacks and doesn’t mind contact. He’ll benefit from watching draymond run the break and I believe he has the ability to be an even better playmaker. I see these guys have a willingness to play hard much like last years roster but these guys add more talent. I think Moody will slide into that starter role. I’ve always liked Poole coming off the bench. Moody can be a 2 way star in a 3-5 years. His ISO game is nba ready and he has defensive instincts. I’m loving what I’m seeing so far. If only we got to see Wiseman run with these guys 🤦🏾‍♂️ can’t wait for the season to start

Anonymous

Absolutely agree. Love watching them play, develop, etc. If we trade these picks we all will be taking anti-depressants and anti-psychotics in future. We will get no where near value for these players! But in my world they can use Wiseman and wigs as bait.

Anonymous

again agree with whole analysis here

Paul Hanson

I also wholeheartedly agree that ESPN has fallen off the accuracy in reporting wagon. It's not just mistaking Mawugbe for Kuminga-it's also talking to Bob Meyers about an extension being 'planned' for Stephen Curry when everyone knows he's signed it already. Renee Montgomery was fantastic in her call-but from the mistake by the director of the broadcast on Kuminga to Jorge Sedano being off with Curry's extension or the constant interruption with interviews (even refs being interviewed over being able to see the action)-it tells me ESPN goes after the casual fan. Who watches NBA Summer League except for real fans? This isn't Game of the Week. I sure wish they'd get their act a bit more together.

athleticalchemy

well said! SL is for the real fans! We want to see every moment of these Rooks.. I love the lil between the whistle interactions they rob us of.

Anonymous

Damn, starting to really like our rooks more than I thought I would this soon. I know a bunch of ppl want to trade immediately for a 4th star but Moody/Kuminga/Wise/JP in even 2 seasons is starting to sound really interesting

athleticalchemy

IDK GP2 is obviously the more versatile roster option.. but as far as a true back up pg and ball handler McLaughlin looks far superior. If klay is looking like Klay heading into camp maybe they will prioritize a true pg

Anonymous

I wouldn't trade Jonathan Kuminga and his rookie contract straight up for Ben Simmons. Jonathan Kuminga will be the golden goose for Joe Lacob and the Warrior owners. They will entertain and compete for championships for many years.

Kuminga "he's the one" - Orpheus

Russ

Kuminga and Moody were steals at 7 and 14. I don't want to trade either of them. Kuminga does look like Tracy Mcgrady size wise and when he goes to the rack but he will need to really work on his shooting obviously, but I love the kid, please don't trade him. And Moody reminds me of Lamond Murray from Cal back when I was a kid, high shoulders, long arms. Wiseman will really need to step up to match these two, like 3 steps, these guys are basketball players with good instincts and skills, Wiseman is just a very big guy who can jump and run in a straight line at this point.

Russ

I agree don't trade Kuminga, just don't.

Anonymous

Glad to see some of Moody's PNR numbers from Arkansas translate rather nicely. I can see him as a tertiary ball handler in a few years when he gets his core strength right. As for Kuminga, he's shown alot more feel and touch than I thought based on his G league games. Maybe the lack of spacing impacted his scoring a bit more than I anticipated. He also seems to be finding more passes as well, especially going full speed, hopefully the Coaching staff won't give him too much responsibility so he can find a comfortable role.

Anonymous

some people on youtube are calling Kuminga “007”🤔 number “00” and the 7th pick

Anonymous

Feels like a name that should be pinned on a sniper,,,but I don't hate it, especially if he out performs the majority of the 6 picked before him

Anonymous

GP2 with that Damion Lee voice

Anonymous

I can see why Kuminga was being discussed alongside Cade for highest ceiling players, could we be getting another Curry-like steal at pick #7 again? I may be getting ahead of myself but damn Kuminga has looked better than Barnes and pretty sure he’ll look better than Giddy already. Haven’t heard much buzz around Evan Mobley, any thoughts on him Alch?

Natto Santo

Kuminga should get a cool nick name

Anonymous

Excited for Kuminga!! Can we keep Kumimga, Moody, Mclaughlin and GP2 on our roster where everything stands now?

Hg80

Great observation. Some of the greatest shot blockers have a soccer background. I wish Wiseman played some soccer growing up. His inability to move his feet and his timing would’ve been automatic now. I think the new Serbian development coach will fix that…hopefully

Hg80

Alch, what do you think about Kyle Guy? Can he make the roster? I’d rather have him than Mulder at this point

Nathan Glanzer

For that to work I believe we'd have to do something like let one go , hope no one picks them up, and then offer them a two way or something.

Anonymous

lmao King K00pa!!! (notice the 00 as in his number instead of the usual oo)

athleticalchemy

He is a undersized two.. I think his blueprint is Lou will but he needs opportunity and shots.. they signed that Chiazzo kid so I doubt it

Anonymous

Ay so that scrub you're talking about #12, I grew up with in church. Kendall Smith, tbh I didn't even think he would make it this far but the whole East Bay (Antioch) area is rooting for him. Hope he can play more and show you something hahaha

Anonymous

I'm all in on this King Koopa thing. It's way more appropriate and cool than what people are trying to push.. that whole kum buckets or whatever thing has got to go before it catches on even further! :p

Anonymous

I am not sure what Kumingas nickname should be, but Gelo Ball should def be called NBA Taliban

Anonymous

I love the content…I don’t know if you read articles on google, but the shit that some of them spew is outrageous. Recently, Meyers non answer on possible trades was interpreted as “a disservice to steph curry” who has already publicly supported the front offices decision. Anyways, this content is the best and you haven’t once made me regret paying for it. That’s for all you do.
