Edwards body language was pretty bad but understandable. I think Maxey had a much better showing. I also wish Edward wouldn't have used that time at the end to bring anyone else down at the end and boosted himself up. He didn't say anything bad but just instead of saying what that person who wasn't there couldn't have done shouldve been showcasing what he did do a little more.

Great to see all these people tightly packed into a gym wearing masks on their chins just breathing on each other during a pandemic. Good look for the NBA.

Alch I'm not sure if you remember but a while back I sent you a video of my jump shot and you gave me a few pointers. I noticed that Edwards has a lot of the same tendencies I do when shooting. I saw him short arm a few of his shots (mainly the ones that were short) and like you mentioned his footwork was very iffy. I imagine it's fixable but for his shot to be consistent he's going to need to work on his release.

Maxey showed better for sure, and that’s why his camp probably agreed to do it with Edwards. “ look at the top guard and me” Edwards told on himself at the end. He was the one starstruck

I do! We’re you able to adjust any? He does have a “snake bite” release.. and you can tell he is trying to hold it but it’s new. You could look at it like. Man this kid is so raw! Clearly he hasn’t been getting proper training. He could probably grow by leaps and bounds with a NBA staff. Or you could say why is he so raw still... I’m not sure how I feel. I’m guessing his training has been probably some “ friend of the family” type shit

I haven't been sold on Edwards and this sold me even less on him. I understand that he has athletic ability but his outside shooting isn't great, his defense isn't there (yet) and I'm skeptical about his mentality. Maxey definitely came off better during the interviews, just more confident and well-spoken, although I should cut Edwards some slack in that area since he's just 19.

It’s one thing to see his mechanics breakdown in game.. but in a open gym! That shouldn’t be the case 19 or not. Hopefully he goes 1 😀

I have to keep it 💯. I saw nothing beyond raw athleticism in Edwards that would make me think he has a future in the NBA. Time will tell and he is very young but he did not strike me as a mindful person. Perhaps he will develop once he is no longer a big fish in a little pond and he has the right training staff pushing him but it’s all “potential” right now with Edwards as far as I’m concerned. I could definitely see him flaming out hard if he ends up being drafted by the Timberwolves. They don’t really seem to have a good culture and that will hurt him imo

That’s a great point.. really all of the kinda “big 3” at the top really need a stable organization. Probably part of why Wiseman is telling Minnesota get lost 😀 along with like 50 other reasons

I feel like with edwards its stiffness in his shoulders thats making his jumper look wierd. That in part with the way he bends that front leg on his shot, and i think that is what lead to him being off balance like you had mentioned.

I just see that it looks like his elbow is always below the level of his shoulders when he releases. Im no shooting expert, but I feel like that'd lead to a weak energy transfer and thats why his shot looked flat at times.

Nah That’s a good observation... I was focused on trying to see if there was any rhyme or reason to all the foot work variations.

🤣🤣 damn near do anything to not get drafted by minnesota. Lol only thing worse is if he ends up in charlotte
