Can’t lie the intro is growing on me

Freddie D

I don't know man, it seems like a reach. Giannis would have to force a trade because nobody would ever give him up voluntarily. Why would he force a trade? He's in a great situation. He's the star player on a contender that was built around him. Why would you leave that for the unknown, when you know what you already got is pretty good?

Do u think that individualism has influenced people like lebron, kawhi , KD ETC , while steph , klay are not collectivist which bodes better with giannis

Anonymous

ESPN hire this man!!

Ravi Dissanayake

Only thing warriors has an upper hand against Dallas with giannis free agency is location. In Cali, he will be able to get the best new deals(immigrant mentality) and also compete with the LA Nike boys.

Jason (NONPFIXION)

As much as I would like Giannis to join the Dubbs but I also dont see it happening. I really like your take on the nike boys club. It's always a conversation with some of my friends about there being an issue with skin tone to a point. I'm not a Saints fan at all but is it just me or does it seem like officials just have it out for them. I think that they have been picked on as much as my Raiders by the officials.

athleticalchemy

Thats one way to put it. Klay and Steph probably spent most of their childhoods trying to fit in "Im just another kid" No the son of a NBA player.

athleticalchemy

It absolutely exists in our culture...I cant tell you how many times Ive been playing pick up somewhere new, and the look on some dudes face after they try and get real physical or talk some shit and they get it right back. It made me a tougher player over the years. Saints have to feel like they are being punished for bountygate. That said last weeks call was very similar to the no call in the Seattle 9er game week 17.

Do u think steph and klay are more collectivist which is seen in more in Asia as opposed to individualist which u see in america

Anonymous

Interesting thing about Dallas is that they had his brother on a two-way after drafting him two years ago, but then waived him for the Lakers to pick up. Do you think Giannis or his family will hold a kind of grudge against the organization?

Raymond M. Wood

Giannis is an Black man who was raised _WELL_ by TWO parents. And bastard sons of single Black American mothers like Lebron NEVER get along with brothers like Giannis and Steph from STABLE two parent homes.

Anonymous

That is wack conclusion to come to bro. You sound like white dude bros who get talking points from fox.

Jason (NONPFIXION)

Yeah, I feel you be right especially about the Saints thing. I feel bad for them they have too many bad calls made in playoffs these last few years. Its definitely an unfortunate aspect in our culture. We have competed in what's better light or dark skin for way too long and it's time for that shit to stop. It does nothing but just add more division then anything.

Yo, you forgot that in the previous All star game, Steph took Giannis first too. He even said something like you just can't pass on him. And then the NEXT all star game, Giannis picked Steph first. Him and Steph look VERY friendly for someone who supposedly doesn't care about making friends. It's gonna happen via trade this summer, Dlo, EP, our pick and maybe Smailagic. The bucks can turn Dlo into another top 5 pick from the wolves or Knicks, tank 1-2 seasons and they're set for the future, they may even get Giannis back when he's in his prime

Ken Bradford

I don't think the age is that much of a problem with Klay and Steph both could easily dial back their roles to very good versions of JJ redick

athleticalchemy

Your right he did! But I don't see how anybody could think they are going to trade him this summer...

Anonymous

I think that could be a reasonable explanation, the warriors culture is also more collectivistic.

Anonymous

Nah. Espn is trash! We need a new sports network that pay but all them to keep it 100 percent real as alchemy does...I hope the athletic has it in their plans!

Anonymous

I'm not sure I'd say 'collectivist' just because of some unpleasant historical connotations...but I think the Dubs' culture is much more team-focused because Steph, Klay, and Dray are all team-focused guys. They were all longshots even to have decent careers when they were drafted, and they realized how much this is a team sport. So, lower egos...but not quashing parts of themselves for the greater good; they all express themselves, but they don't pursue individual glory. Kerr as the coach emphasizes that too, I would think. Role player on two dynasties, then a Coach Pop disciple. Egalitarian, movement offense, feed the hot-hand, etc.

Man, that light-skin = soft/dark-skin = hard thing in America's black community/culture really baffles me. Here in Vietnam, though? The lightest black person from the US would be called 'black' in a specific VNese word that means, like, dark AF. People with skin way lighter than the average Thai person get called black. One kid will call another that, and I'm like...y'all are the same shade, as 95% of the world would see it (I've been here long enough to spot the subtle differences...) Like a lot of spots, in Vietnam, light-skinned means ethnic Cham/Viet Minh plus not a peasant getting dark from the sun, so there are a lot of class connotations to that.

Anonymous

Getting Giannis does feel forced AF, but I think we're all sensitized to these rumors since KD left.

Anonymous

lol i meant or ben not ben and giannis @Uncle_Alchemy PG:CURRY SG:KLAY SF:Eric paschall PF:Giannis OR Ben Simmons C: James wiseman

Jason (NONPFIXION)

The american light skin vs dark skin is a direct reprocussion of slavery to be honest. Related to light skin being those that worked in the home and dark skin referring to those that worked in the fields. In either connotation it was a clear way to separate those in the culture to keep them in competition with one another, causing dislike and hate in many situations. Which unfortunately is still true to this day.

intro was outrageously fire
