I see it happening already. Just what the NBA wants. KD is going to be suspended for a game in the rockets series’s. It’s going to be in a crucial game so it lines up perfectly with putting the Rockets in perfect position to win. I’m already annoyed just thinking about it. Mark my words Alch. It’s gonna happen and we’ll all just be better off now if we prepare ourselves for the outrage. That being said......KD really needs to control himself there. Beverly is literally only good for that one thing and that’s pissing people off. He can’t play in the NBA!!!!!! It’s that simple. I don’t care what anyone tells me or says or uses stats or whatever. The dude is solely in the NBA because he’s a goddamn nuisance to other players. And his asshole-ism works. KD fell for the trap. Getting technicals in this series isn’t nearly as important to Beverly as it is for anyone on the Warriors. Great game. Draymond was in playoff mode. Curry balled out as usual. And Klay and Stephs defense was INSANE. Curry was on Klay-levels of defense last night!

The bad turnovers throughout and Cook's complete inability to stay in front of his man. The good: defensive intensity from the jump, Steph and Draymond so ready to play at their highest levels, Iguodala/Looney excellent off the bench and Andrew with good minutes giving defense and rim protection when Boogie got in foul trouble and the Warriors hit a cool spot. Beverly should just be laughed off by whomever he guards....as chick Hearn used to say, "Oh, the mustards come off the hot dog".

Looney with those sick Kobesque fadeaways. Draymond made some terrible turnovers but you're right he is moving much more off the ball with cuts and screen setting which makes the offense more chaotic. This is 2016 Draymond.

Steph was just automatic, it looked like there was a magnet in the ball pulling it towards the rim. If he continues that level of play and we can limit the turnovers, this will be a sweep. Also, in addition to the Philly/Brooklyn series, I think San Antonio could pull an upset as well... Now maybe it will take Jokic some time to adjust to his first playoff series, and he still did well putting up 14a/14reb. But as their team MVP and leading scorer, he should really be taking more than 9 shots in a game. I mean they lost AT HOME even though DeRozan and Aldridge had mediocre games... it'll be interesting to see how that potential upset could affect that side of the Western playoff bracket.

My impression when I saw McKinnie out there that Kerr is playing this series a bit like the regular season, rotation-wise, getting guys minutes that might help down the road, and probably trying to keep his starters' minutes down. So inevitably came Cookie, and you get what you get. So what about not starting Draymond and bringing him in when Doc goes to Montrez? That would stagger him and Boogie, which might help at the offensive end. He and Sweet Lou would have a harder time running up points if Dray, Iggy and Loon are in the game with Klay. Nice start that the Dubs were the only favorite to win yesterday, although Orlando was the only real surprise there, I think.

Klay seemed almost non-existent this game, offensively I mean. It was nice just having him stretch the floor though, let other guys operate. His net rating with KD and Boogie hasn't been very good though, he is really at his best with Steph. A lot of the shots Steph took, I really didn't expect them to go in. Not really perfect form, typically off the catch but he somehow still makes them based on pure muscle memory. Absolutely insane performance. If it weren't for the chef putting out 95% TS, we definitely would have lost this game as our lead was often single digits and made too many turnovers.

CP3 and Harden shot a combined 1 of 41 when Andre was on them in the WCF last year. If Dre never got injured, it would've been over in 5 games.

KD what was he thinking? That's grade school stuff from Beverly ("gas station at 4 o'clock in the morning" still my favorite AA quote). But really KD 2 techs and a hook? What if they get hot and we get cold right after you get kicked out, our Queen for their Pawn and we lose? Knucklehead. And Dray do you really need to throw 2-4 turnovers into the stands every game? Damn he never stops just winging it into oblivion, stop doing that, we know you are just trying to get on ESPN.

I think that Kerr and Demarcus will watch film and make adjustments going into game 2. Demarcus pretty much got his lunch money taken by Montrez and Zubac. Cousins has pride and I think they'll figure out a way to bounce back. If not, maybe a little less Cousins and a little more Bogut/Looney.

This was the freaking awesome--game and breakdown. I'm so pumped to see those upsets in the East, too! Can you cover something in the East, too? I'm just fascinated by how they can look so good on paper and then most of the teams (not the Bucks, exactly) show these massive post-season Achilles' heels.

The KD-Bev double toss was bullshit, and it was that same slick-haired Dagwood motherfucker who always is in the middle of officiating playoff controversies with the Dubs. It's the same thing all over again, the league setting up a potential game suspension in the finals to make it more interesting. Those guys were just jawing, KD was smiling the whole time, and the worst thing Bev did was to jump up and get in his face, in what was ultimately a non-threatening manner. I don't think KD cared that much, they were going to take care of business anyway, the Dubs were kind of playing around out there, getting into playoff mentality without being too concerned about the details, like taking care of the ball. It's probably hard to reach the right level of overall intensity when you're playing a non-threat, so that will likely get saved for the next round, which will be the only real challenge in getting to the finals.

Gotta play someone, and he not only wants to keep Steph's minutes down against these guys but also Dot's, who is the most minutes-restricted guy in the rotation. I don't think Kerr wants to play anyone more than 36 in this series, and with Dot it's more like 16, or less if his knee is bothering him - Curry played 37 and Livingston 12.

GSW making the same mistake with Cousins that PHI is making with Embiid. These dudes should not be living at the 3pt line all damn game. What they're trying to do with the spacing isn't working bc teams aren't even guarding them. PHI needs to put Embiid in the post and that's what we need to do with Cousins.
