VS SAC GM58

Corey Brewer the first guy out the window when the cops knock on the door 😂 But fr though the Kings are fearless, they got a squad that plays hard with good chemistry. Fox, Hield and Bagley are a really solid core, better than the Lakers with Ingram Kuzma and Zo. I get that Boogie wants to finish games but the guys / Kerr need to get in his ear and make him realize that he needs to be a matchup dependent guy sometimes. His offense is decent, needs to finish more along with the foil drawing, but his defense leaves a lot to be desired. You're right that he's displayed some great restraint though, it's surprising for sure.

yooo how about that Jerebgoat almost putback early game. had me off my seat

Buddy a baller. Joerger needs to chill out

Imagine if Joerger coached Steph... no MVP campaigns for him. Two guys I'm proud of: Iguodala has been so great off the bench this season, on both ends; Klay stopped forcing bad shots and that's been vital for this team's offense. Draymond's emotional temperament of an 8 year old is really getting on my nerves. It's bad enough teams are sagging off 7 feet in half court offense and knowing beforehand Dray is going to make a pass. I'll say though that his 3 point arch has looked better, his jump is more vertical...

I really liked Steph's decisiveness to shoot this game. Draymond isn't helping his case. He should know by now the refs don't listen to him when he complains. Klay always clutch. Durant was in reaper mode. Hope the warriors can fouces and get down on defense before the playoffs. Kings have a great young squad! Really happy for king fans. A year or two more and I can see them being a definite threat to teams in the West. Great video Alch like always.

Matt Hanna

Always fun to wartch these two teams matchup. Frustrating to see KD just totally miss 2 big defensive possessions and getting caught watching the ball. Buddy should have never made that three in the corner if KD had been in the right spot. Cant wait for the houston rematch and hopefully steph keeps his shooting up

Dude has 14 technicals now with over 20 games to play still. If he didn’t know at 13 that he was nearing ejection (16) then he will now with only 2 techs to give. It’s sad when Boogie shows more restraint than Draymond..

Seems to me he’ll be gone next season, especially if Kong’s don’t make playoffs.

I’ll be honest, I’ll be rooting for the Kings for the rest of the season. I’d rather face them than the Lakers in the 1st round. What’s more taxing? LeBron in the 1st round. Sure they will not beat us in a 7 game series but it can go to 6 or even 7 considering how Steph plays against Laker matchups. Lakers are an absolute nightmare matchup, considering they have nothing to lose if they end with 8th seed, possibly knowing their fate. You compare how Steph plays against LAL vs how he plays against SAC. It’s a night and day difference.

Finally made it to Oracle this year. Game was amazingly fast, you blink, you'll miss something. Props to the Kings! Went in early to watch warmups, Klay was off the whole warmup and acting really frustrated. Even got into an argument with Jerebko during the warmups bc he was behind (cuz KD went long) and Rebko was in his spot, preventing him from continuing his routine. Seems like it carried into the game. KD also yelled "F**K!" at the top of his lungs after missing a few floaters in a row during warmups. It was funny af. Watching Fox transition in-person gave me Westbrook vibes (more control, less amplitude tho). Dude's a baller.

athleticalchemy

LOL Corey got crack speed fasho! There is no real commitment to him...if he is hurting us in the playoffs he won't play.

athleticalchemy

the camera caught a close up of him getting real upset not finishing a and1 on the left early...I though it was extra...Glad you got such great game. I find it interesting they kinda go away from Fox late in games, I get it he is not a "shooter" but idk it kinda feels wrong.

Clippers got a cush schedule the rest of the year and have the tiebreaker against SAC. Something to consider. KD's block totals last year in 68 games: 123. KD block totals this year thru 58 games: 69. He's definitely not playing with the same defensive effort as last year. Once he turns it up, this team can go to a different level. Cousins needs to work on not fouling, his foul rate is too high right now. PnR defense is actually pretty decent. His lateral movement is not good enough to stay with perimeter players. If he wants to stay on the floor, he needs to stop fouling.

It's just beyond comprehension that Dray would sit down with RosGold and confess that his team leadership took a hit after the KD drama, and acknowledge that the hit to his leadership has to be earned back over time….then proceed to sprint the length of the court, essentially begging for a tech, on a toss up call, in a 2 possession game in clutch time…..Who does that?...seriously, in the history of the NBA name one max player that was that selfish. Hopefully we 3 peat, then hopefully KD & Klay resign, then hopefully ownership has a come to Jesus meeting with draymond on some….max players don't allow their emotions to put team wins at risk, and you've showed us that’s who you are, thus we can't offer you close to the max. If he refuses to take the low ball offer, trade dude to SAC, NOLA, or any team that plays fast as Dray is great pushing the pace in transition. Bogie and his bro whispering in the tunnel with their mouth covered after the game….it's so obvious he wants to finish games, however When Bogie looks at the film, he is too high an IQ player to not see that SAC simply isn't the right matchup for him. That's why I rather see any LA team over Sac in the 1st round. When Boston players look at film, there is really an argument to be made that they are better when no one player is ball dominant, thus they have an argument. Bogie has no argument that the team D was better with Iggy over him in the clutch. Why KD would even consider going back to a ball dominant point guard who thinks he is Kobe is beyond me, but that's a conversation for another day.

Brilliant commentary, pacing, and video production, yields a golden nectar of sheer delight. Bravo, bro. Thou art truly an alchemist. This is another feast in basketball's Elysium fields.

Branden Edwards

Was hoping to hear your reaction to Jerebko trying to baptize Bagley on the putback. Great commentary as always anyways

Daniel Fries

"looks like he's run for his life on multiple occasions" lol! I was looking forward to your commentary on him when they showed his eyes bulging in that one close-up. descriptions always perfect Alchemy

This game just made me admire Iggy's hands that much more, the man is a magician.

"This is my destiny" had me crying. But yeah chef showed out and I hope he can keep it up against these b*tch rockets

It's interesting to look at KD's shooting numbers - he's dropped to 36.4% from three (same as Iggy), but is now up to 57.0% from two, so his efficiency statistically is better from two than three, which is what it should be for a skilled 7-footer, and if he'd only play bigger it would be better still. Someone needs to tell KD he has more G-Freak in him that Kyrie. Cousins, he'll be on the floor, they don't have anything better on the bench, and he's such a threat on the offensive end (although his three rate is down to 28.6% now). The question of the closing lineup will probably come down to matchups, and perhaps if Cousins hasn't fouled out yet, which settles the question. I really hope that DJ is back by the playoffs, there are going to be situations, like OKC, where having another big body out there will help, even if only for 4 or 5 minutes in a game.

Russ

Neal X - Furthering you Iggy comments. I think the skill we have team wide stripping the ball is due to his example. Most teams don't get away with it nearly as much as we do as we have learned from the absolute master of the strip. And his stabbing of that bullet pass was otherworldly. He is having a great year, hope he stays healthy through the playoffs.
