Evans need some run in the gleague. Jonas J need to get cut by xmas if he doesn't pick up the pace, he seems so lost

I just realized in this game that we have lost some goons in our squad. West, and Zaza. I don't see boogie as a goon, I think he's mentally soft. Draymond looked heavy in this game. I also really don't like Derrickson.

To answer your question, no, JaVale has not hit a 3 for the Warriors. Cool that he scored one this time. He's such a goofball, but still very entertaining to watch.

Anonymous

He has so much confidence and swag playing with these young dudes now, wish him well.

Boogie is a goon in a sense that he does use intimidation to his advantage. But yeah Loony and DJ bring none of that. Bell might get more goony year 2 as that seems to be in his makeup.

Hmmmm I don't know guys. I think it's best that we cut KD, Klay, and Steph right now. They're the weak links on our team, and they'll only drag us down.

Anonymous

aye the warriors thought they was slick signing Boogies brother Jaleel to their g league, and yea the bench looks terrible, good thing boogie can play point center n playmake with them. Giving steph n kd sum rest.

Alch, you're certainly starting the season in fine form. Excellent video. The word "knucklehead" isn't used enough, and you used it perfectly here. Thanks!

I'm not too fond of last two roster moves either. Mckinnie is still raw and he's already 26 years old and for Derrickson I think the front office might be blinded by his 3 point shot, he's like Liangelo Ball a shooting guard who's about 35 pounds over weight.

Thanks! I feel refreshed and excited for another year. Doing one Warrior breakdown per game will really allow me to enjoy it and get better.

Steph still looks primed and you can add Klay to that list.

Jansen E

I gotta say Damian Jones is WAY UNDER what Javale was for us. I think GSW will severely miss what Javale brought to the table. He did make mistakes, obviously, but he learned quickly, because a great rim protector, a decent defender, and a huge offensive threat even when he wasnt scoring. He opened up lanes for Steph and Klay. Jones takes FOREVER to jump, forever to learn, and forever to stop making mistakes it seems. Evans jumper looks broken. Jarebko looks like another Casspi situation: disappointing and a waste of a roster spot. I gotta say, the bench and backups (outside of Iggy and Livingston obviously) looks really shaky and makes me anxious. House Jr. and that other guy whos got great athleticism (cant remember his name) look like the only two guys worth keeping at this point.

Jones looked great in this game. But I wonder if it was because the lakers bench were playing. He just needs to be stronger mentally and grow in confidence.

They opted for McKinnie, I’m going to give DJ the opportunity to prove me wrong these first 20 gm or so. But yeah he seems indecisive and slow mentally.

3:40 the basket steph seemed frustrated about, i'm pretty sure he wanted a call and that was the frustration, i'm surprised to hear you agreeing with the commentators that he thought he shoulda hit it, but maybe it was just that.

House over McKinne or Derrickson, for sure, and partly because I think he could have been a microwave scorer off the bench--imagine, with his athleticism, going at other teams' second units. The only reason I like Derrickson is his shot, and if all he has to do is c-n-s corner 3's...okay. But he'll get smoked, fried, and torched on defense, and he's not getting to the rim. McKinnie just hasn't learned he's in a grown-man's league yet. Concerning, but not fatal, and I like the implied confidence. You're absolutely right that he needs to 1) get a left 2) get some craft and 3) watch shit-loads of film to know who he can elevate over...and who's going to stuff his soul down to Hades. Like JaVale did, what, 2-3 times in this game? His D is going to take time, too. Bad habits to break, like ball-watching and, well, not studying film. Or defensive rotations. But if he can do those things, he might end up a 5-8 points a night guy in 10-12 minutes. We'll see.

athleticalchemy

Very good take. It really does feel too me like the front office has botched these 2 way spots. McKinnie is 26! He no basketball baby. Getting hit back door relentlessly points to IQ more than experience. Let’s see if Ron can work his magic. At least Evans clearly is high iq.

Yeah! Do the pre-game tomorrow, Alch! I love your pre-game shows... Always gets be pumped for the game!

preseason for the later end of the roster has been inconsistent and i think it will make a difference on how much starters will rest and regular season wins

I gotta respectfully disagree about the personnel moves. I think they are absolutely brilliant moves by Myers. Why? Bc they allow GSW to have a lot of flexibility. There is no downside at all to signing Mckinnie bc it's not guaranteed til next January. At that point, GSW can keep him , trade him or waive him if they see something they like in the buyout market, with very little financial risk. Also, GSW still has the flexibility to keep him and still have roster spots if Mccaw decides he wants to return or for another player they like. Bc GSW has the 15th roster spot still open, they could even keep both Mckinnie and Mccaw if they wanted. It's all about flexibility. Flexibility gives you leverage and leverage is power.

athleticalchemy

Right I acknowledge the flexibility, but I don’t like the choices. You could have the same flexibility with House jr and Nunn.
