Jordan: the business of being a superstar thing, and the individualization of championships. Steph: the Three and all that entails. Iverson: the ghettoization of superstardom, whatever you want to call that. Lebron: the superteam thing, the superstar as coach and GM, when he feels like it, the player as bigger not only than the team but than the game. Athleticism doesn't really change the game, so natural gifts don't count that much in this regard. KD: the new arena is a much bigger thing than people seem to think - management is going to want to put a great team on the new court, and that will matter to players as well, the new palace of the NBA for the kings of the league. This has been building for a couple years already and it's not going to run out of gas next summer. I really don't see KD bailing unless the supporting cast hits the exit ramp before he does, and I don't really see that happening, these guys like where they are and want to finish what they started. And Steph ain't going anywhere.

If KD does leave after this season, I've read that AD will not be available until 2020.

Diggin it man! Loved how much video/photo content you had about all your topics! And the reaction video was cool because of the analysis you had, wasn't just "ooo" and "awe" and shit. Dope getting your immediate thoughts.

Yo Alch, I appreciate the experimentation but I personally don't think the reaction videos flow with the analytical style of the rest of the episode. I like the pre-planned break down style you've been doing so far. Keep up the good work!

I think you should put Iverson last because of the same reason you have Lebron so low. His skill set isn't something we haven't seen but as far impact on the game as far as on the court goes it wasn't something unseen before. He was just smaller but his impact off the court was far more felt than what he actually did on the court. No disrespect to The Answer! Although Lebron's impact on culture off the court is way bigger than what Iverson did although Iverson was just as businees savy with his deal with Reebok. So in my opinon It would be Jordan, Curry,Bron,Iverson but like you said once Curry retires it could be a whole differnert conversation depending on the sucess of this new generation of young shooters like Trae Young specficially

I don't think you can only credit Curry with changing the game. Klay hits the same percentage 3's, and most of his are catch and shoot. To have two of the best outside shooters on the same team at the same time period changed the game, imho.

athleticalchemy

right but it would be the hostage year and we have seen how that plays out. IDK it seems very far fetched, but so does everything Bob and co have pulled off the last 4 years.

athleticalchemy

I agree, thats my style! I do think it might be fun for something live that have some emotional investment in.

athleticalchemy

he never will get enough credit has added to the volume. But you said it yourself, catch and shoot is the difference. off the dribble 3's were taboo 20 years ago. Steph has given the green light for middle school kids to take in game step back 3s.

Rico Hines video analysis YES PLEASE

What if you're the Raptors and today the Lakers offer you Kuzma & Ingram for Kwahi, would you do it?

athleticalchemy

I’d do it! I think they are looking at this year and saying we can get out of the east and who knows how beat up the western team will be. This is a relatively young franchise, they are thirsty to break through there past disappointments. So I think they go all in this year. Or at least until Kawhi proves to not be the same.

IDK if too late for you use it, but here's a clip of JB doing some off-the-dribble work: https://youtu.be/7p_cDjKc8D0

athleticalchemy

I know the Twitter video was a little low quality but if you comb through this video you can find those same clips but with higher quality: https://youtu.be/m2xURoSkwv0
