I think youtube already took down their version. :/

I’m so tired of people blaming the refs for every gsw game they win, nobody said anything about jr playing dirty towards klay, nobody wants to mention that one ref called charge while another called blocking on the KD drive call, and nobody is saying anything about how the Cavs didn’t even try to win in OT..the whole media is rooting for lebron to win, it’s ridiculous..

Just fyi there's an audio glitch around the 1:05 mark. Great video regardless.

Was looking everywhere online for alternative angles on the Tristan flagrant. Another great video!

I definitely think that we didn't play at our highest energy for most of the game in regulation--it was OT where we saw the real Warriors come to play. Hopefully that OT scare puts the Warriors into high gear for the rest of the series. I agree, we need to work on making LeBron play out of his rhythm. He'll stop making as many shots when he does that and have more turnovers too. As for the trapping, I see one of two ways we can do it: A) start trapping starting in the late third and entire fourth quarter when LBJ is gassed by then or B) we could do it early on to get him gassed earlier. The only worry i have about trapping him is that it could potentially allow one of his other players to get hot too. And KD, I feel at least, should play off ball for most of the game until we really need one of his isos; he really needs to box out too. Overall, great work, AA!

Yo Alch.. u killin it on the takes as always.. I thot on the George hill foul late.. he grabbed klays arm, almost harden under hook like.. and then threw himself over klays arm.. now I get klay wasn't stressing it cuz he had his arm out.. but I've seen this on ALOT of drives to the basket where a player is grabbing a defenders arm and then force their body into the arm to draw a foul.. I hate it.. And btw everybody acting like Cavs wouldve thrown up a shot or called a timeout and scored at the end.. gtfoh.. if hill makes that FT then we got 5 secs to win the game ourselves..

Lol just watched a Chris Broussard video where he says something about not guaranteed Cavs win after missed FT

Up until the last 5 minutes of the game, it felt more like a regular season game than the NBA Finals.

I also think JR went for Klay's knee on purpose. It was one of those very subtle ones like when Zaza went for Leonard last year. B-ball gods punished JR at the end of the game for going after the LEGEND of KLAY. I also think Skip is right calling Kevin Durant, Kevin DuCan't. Watching KD play "D" makes me lose all respect for him. It's one thing that he doesn't work out and God made him slim, but he's got absolutely no heart playing D. Look at PJ Tucker in the last series. It's ALL about heart. Every time KD has the ball, he seems to be thinking in the back of his mind, "I need to get some buckets to get my numbers so I can have another Finals MVP" or "I should pass the ball this time so I don't look like a ball hog." Whereas Warriors basketball is all about passing and letting the natural gravity/flow of the game feed the hot hand. Yo, Alch, I was cussing out KD so much in front of my 2 young boys and my wife had to reprimand me. I apologized to my kids, but they understood why I was so damn upset. Keep up the great work, sir!!

Remember Bron last year? Some of those games, in the 3rd quarter he was out of gas. How is he a year older and seems to have boundless energy? How does that work? AA, do you think he's taking "supplements" to give him that extra juice? Seriously, he seems to have turned back the clock. I'd like to do that.

The narrative by sports media so far is LeBron James is NOT suppose to win because look at Golden State, (but really though, we hope he wins). In any event, I had a funny feeling the first game wasn't going to be a blow out. And I do not think the 2nd one is going to be either. With the exception that I agree Alch, this to me is Steph's time to shine, if he gets into that Unanimous One mode, we gettin' that chip!

Anonymous

Disagree about JR slide. To me it looked accidental, he was slipping and his momentum carried him. If that was dirty then so was Dray's eye rake on Bron. Agree about the announcers. Fucking Van Gundy talks about irrelevant shit all game long. And the charge/block was _clearly_ a block. I think you're being a little hard on S-dot. I agree on KD. He's not playing well offensively or defensively. I wanted to see Steph be more aggressive given how great he was. I completely agree on Klay. He's maybe the only Warrior who's actually a warrior.

The TT call was a missed call, no need to T or eject but TT should be suspended because he was ejected then made an effort to walk to Draymond and then put the ball in his face. Here's the thing the game was over, this wasn't a game still on the line, heat of the moment thing, that was a straight selfish vent of frustration, and an u sportsman like black eye for the league.....let there never but another Kermit Washington moment for the game I love....no nostalgia here for the bad boys either.

Anonymous

The one explanation might be that when he doesn't have "a sense of urgency" the first things that'll go are defense, blocking out, the stuff he didn't even really try to do until later in his career. I thought Cleveland would win last night because the Ws wouldn't have their heads in the series at all yet, having come off that Houston series and with the Cavs the biggest underdog in over 15 years on top of their focus problems all year, and you could see signs of that everywhere. If he doesn't really bring it in game two that's another story.

Anonymous

I assumed he got the quick eject because of circumstances, going that agressively against a guy who is lofting a shot only because the 24 is about to expire. The issue I had with the Draymond thing is that he didn't just shove the ball in his face, and when he wasn't looking, but it looked like he did that only to mask that he was hitting him in the face with the heel of his hand, the closest thing to a punch you can do without making a fist. Rather than a suspension I'd prefer some Georgian street justice tho...

Do you think KD has lost a step? I doubt it, but the difference between this finals and last finals is really big. I wonder if he's just not feeling right to play hard and go in the gym? I doubt that, but that is the only thing I can think of besides him just being content with getting one ring.

creuset

the angles were helpful. and also the rehash of what was said between steph and lebron. i understand it's steph's personality to be a little humorous and maybe diffuse things with lebron?--but i can also understand lebron was pretty upset given the circumstances. the difference between lebron and KD is even if lebron is godlike, his teammates may sabotage all of it. but if KD screws up in a mortal way, he has draymond, steph, klay, team, coaches to help keep things moving towards a championship. lesson: surround yourself with the best people possible

Physically I just don't see how he is different. I think it's all mental. The dude looks depressed af and he has so many defensive lapses which point to concentration problems.

Kan't give enough love to Killer Klay. Saved our ass GM 6 Houston and was klutch GM1. Echo Alchemy that he is becoming my favorite player too.

Anonymous

The one thing Kevin Durant always wanted is to win a championship and wear a ring. He done that last year but he realized nothing has changed and he is still the hunted and always being questioned. Looking back this season, his ego definitely changed and it’s quite peculiar. 10+ technicals actually says a lot and his head butt with Westbrook way back in the season is so interesting to watch back.

Anonymous

Eitan, I'm 100% with you here on everything you said. I did disagree with Alch on the JR slide as well. I just think Alch emotions got in the way of his judgement cause it looked nasty on our boy Clay. Its ok to agree to disagree. It was the same that was said about Zaza with Westbrook with the fall over.

Anonymous

Just want to add to this on the result of the NBA official report. SO Kevin love wont be suspended (even though he clearly broke the rule), Triston doesn't have to pay ANY penalty for his skirmish with Draymond AFTER he was ejected. But No ONE in the major media houses are picking this up. But a legal reviewed call that has found to be the correct call, is being ridiculed because it does not favor their cause. Its strange how people become OBJECTIVE conveniently...

Anonymous

Alchemy last year the rotations were klay and KD and steph and Draymond i was wondering if you have anything to say why Kerr moved away from that? it seams like these days KD is put on the floor with not a lot of floor spacers.

Anonymous

GSOM had an article with a stat on KD. This point in playoffs last year, KD had run 38 iso plays. This point in playoffs it's at 128. WTF? It's ugly basketball and I hate that steph doesn't have the ball in his hands as much as the time winds down.

Anonymous

Kd seems unhappy would not be surprised if he dipped this summer.

athleticalchemy

When Steph went down it altered everything. He never got back to that. Your right, a nice way to get KD going would be to put him around more shooters when he is in that second unit. That would mean Cook and Swag obviously.

Anonymous

I was just watching the Christmas game and he seemed more engaged then. He looks totally out of it like when you tell a kid to do something and they do it but almost like with out care.

Anonymous

I Was just thinking they need to push the ball more to get easier shots for their three, then I was like especially KD. Then I dawned on me when he gets the rebound he never really pushes it. He never just goes. He always trots up. He really has reverted back to his OkC days and honestly I believe it’s because Steph was hurt all year and we had to iso him and slow the game down more and rely on defense. He just hasn’t been able to break out of that mindset because he never got to build on the habits from last year.

Anonymous

After just watching the Klay replay on the athletic, that shit was cheap and contact was intended. I don’t think he meant to hurt him, but the angle he took on the ball was right at and slightly behind Klay, not in front of him, where he would need to be to intercept or tip it. He knew he was gonna run right into him and he never tried to slow up which means he knew he was gonna get a foul, then after he slipped he stretched out full length like he was going for the ball instead of avoiding contact. Why? Because he meant to run into him and knew reaching was the only to make it appear like that wasn’t his intention. If he was really going for the ball and not the foul, he would’ve stopped immediately after the first step cause his angle was off. He knew damn well he wasn’t getting to that ball. Probably thought I’ll get him in the upper body with a hard foul because we all know the game plan is to be physical, but then he slipped. Look at the angle he takes, it’s actually a little behind where Klay is standing. It was cheap bullshit. Now,Klay got a high ankle sprain that has swollen and stiffened and he’s gonna be out for a week at least prolly. Especially after playing on it the rest of the game. TL;DR JR is with that bitch shit, who’s probably one of the dumbest people in the league on top of it. So, he’s got that going for him.

athleticalchemy

Spot on.. only one thing, he was absolutely gunning for the knees. It was literally a hit on Klay.

Draymond gave some interesting insight today. He said going from playing Houston to the Cavs (with only 2 days of a break after our HOU series) was like a shock to their system. Just such a different game that Houston makes you play. I think that may be part of the reason GSW looked a bit off in G1. I think we'll see a different team in G2. Hopefully Klay is alright.

Russ

I think the reason they are going ISO with KD so much is partly because they saw how it went in game 1 of the Houston series when he was scoring so easily and 2 is because something has been pissing KD off this year, which is why he is so distracted and not locked in on so many plays, rarely boxing out, not working on his switches, help D at the rim from the weak side etc... They may be worried that he won't re-sign here, remember this year for the first time Kerr admitted before the All star break that this team needed a rest from each other, that was new. And one of the reasons one would guess he would leave is so that he can "be the best version of himself", oh and the money of course. I hope being in the finals 2 years in a row makes him stay and I expect he will but they may be trying to keep him happy right now.

Anonymous

Because it's LeBum's team. You can bet there would definitely be suspensions if it were on other side with everyone crying for heads on platter. SICK of these double standards. And don't get me started with the thug JR's dirty play on Klay. No mention of this, only how poor poor Bron and Cavs blah-blah

athleticalchemy

I think we’re gonna need treymond to make an appearance in this series. Those 2 late were out of necessity with the clock winding down. If he could hit 1 or 2 in a first half it go a long way.

comepletely agree how disgusting business shaping customer mindset is, lack of education is why society is exploited this way so easily. the problem is real when those companies have government backing (central banks) and no people understand the product (money). /rant xD great vid tho, hope dubs don't play like shit this series
