The drop step would work but if im draymond my offense moves would just be Ben Simmons repertoire, I would watch film of him and just copy that if Im Draymond.

Making home run plays and they missed every shot. Down the stretch I just want simplicity just get the ball in the hoop. The offense was a mess in the 4th against spurs we can get away with that not so much the pelicans or the rockets. Kd really has to do something about those damn unforced turnovers

Alc, you really think the Pellys will take the dubbs to 7?

Nathan Glanzer

We need to focus on closing games. Getting to the rim. Forcing fouls. Getting high percentage shots. Our shooting bails us out too much and when we are off it kills us relying on it. We aren't the rockets we don't have to rely on our shooters.

athleticalchemy

I do! I think it will take Steph a few games to get going..and they are very confident right now.

athleticalchemy

I have been on and off the Javale wagon several times, but he has really been giving us some pop on both ends. this series looks like it will be Nick and Jordan tho.

A.A. If Durant is not gonna box out? Please show me video of Durant boxing out.....it doesn't exist. It may sometimes appear as if KD has boxed a man but that's the naturally occurring, you're on defense, you by default have inside position and the defender jumps with you from your back side or outside position....that's not a box out. A box out is when a shot is just about to go up you go find your man (or any opponent), move to him to keep him as far from the basket/ball as possible and make enough contact with him to literally put him on his heel and then you continue to screen his path while turning your attention to moving aggressively to the ball.....your body will take impact and wear on every good box out. KD don't play that way though sometimes he has appearance of boxing out when players jump over or past him with a running start.

It's absolutely not ur imagination that no matter how JaVale has played in the other 3 quarters he rarely gets in the game in the 4th. So there are times JaVale makes a knucklehead foul or defensive play but ask yourself when is the last time or how often does JaVale take a shot where your like no..no..no..it doesn't happen, JaVale's shot selection is very good, he takes very makable/high percentage shots, he doesn't hunt his own but occasionally when he gets stuck where he has to shoot, JaVale takes a shot he can make, which is why he should sometimes be on the floor in the 4th

With how the Pels are playing at home, I agree with you that this series will go to 7

Alc, do you have a favourite basketball player?

Was really happy to see Dray and KD go to the hole more. And Patty Mills flops are straight fine-able (like 20 thousand a flop) And Iggy over Dray shooting 3's Andre should have a green light, I'd like to see at least 5 attempts behind the arc a game, and Dray should have 2-3 (max) from the corners. If McGee was in the 4th, it wouldn't been so close. I don't understand either why Kerr thinks he cant trust him in the crunch time.

KD almost blew that game in the 4th. Went back to OKC style and Kerr let him. He posted up in the right elbow like 6 straight possessions and didn't move. Rest of the team is trying to create offense and he's just standing there waiting for an iso. When 2 shooters aren not moving at the same time this offense is easy to stop. He caused the offense to bog down just because he never moved. Our next bucket came, because he moved and got himself open. I want curry to come back just specifically because his movement will get KD catch and shoot opportunities. Which he drastically needs because his 3p% has been whack with all (almost all) of them being off the dribble. I think he was tired honestly. Taking 2 months off before the playoffs might've hurt his conditioning. And you notice Kerr doesn't call any of the plays they ran his first 2 years that used to get other guys open looks. Like the backcut alley oop from the free throw line, or an elevator play for Klay, or the backcut duck in for Dray. Or the UCLA cuts and triangle action they ran first year. I dunno, maybe I've seen them so much I don't recognize it but it feels like they run their motion flow or split cuts and rely on 3 guys to knock down jumpers. They used to get that alley oop play every other game. I think they ran it twice last year. All I know is curry needs to come back and come back lit, or this gonna be a short postseason and a wasted year cuz these dudes got complacent. And if they aren't gonna win the whole thing, they need to lose early so they can get some damn rest. It'll be a waste of energy to go all the way and lose it

Remember Stevie, as Alc says McGee is Weapon X. There is almost no way to surprise a team in a 7 game series but holding back McGee in the 4th quarter makes it difficult for other teams to allocate precious practice minutes to game-planning for it, especially if GSW makes it look like McGee isn't "trusted" in crunch time.

Anonymous

And I think he should by now. The offense is just so much more potent with him in the lineup. I can understand if its a matchup issue, but this series would the time see if he can be trusted and see what type of piece he really is going forward in the future.

Hey Alchemy, not sure if you guys follow this guy, but it was a nice video and I know we all watch pretty much every warriors clip available thought you would like the breakdown, maybe get your thoughts on his take of the matchup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_PNdnAwtcc

athleticalchemy

Some valid points! While our defense did look really good, it was against a team with one guy who could get his own shot.

athleticalchemy

There are guys I like to watch, mostly young players and chart their development. But growing up a Warrior fan you learned to become a fan of the team, not the players. They changed every other year!

From 3: Dre > Dray

Alchemy, what do you think about the Dubs running the offense through Klay more, even when Steph comes back? This is the best Klay has ever been off the dribble and it feels like Steph and KD can turn it on at any moment so why not force feed Klay a little more and rely on Steph/KD's ability to pick their spots?

athleticalchemy

We definitely need to keep him aggressive and involved especially in 2nd half’s. But I think we should attack thru match ups. If Jru is on him it might be tough. They have Moore or Rondo yeah let’s force the help.
