I went to the game and from the jump it was too much iso ball from kd with the okc offense and kd ran the point a lot which never results in a win, idk maybe igg knee or back was sore because he wasn’t moving or playing well. klay wasn’t running around to get open like he normally does and was dribbling into 2 defenders and chucking up shots. I didn’t like the defense on the 3 point line and I am curious to see how they handle the pelicans especially mirotic.

I honestly fine with playing Game 1 and 2 without Curry because I feel like we can still take care of home court however, if Rajon Rondo or likely Holliday bottles up Klay and gets him out of rhythm like how Danny Green did today, it will very much be a heavy PnR KD and Idk if that’s enough scoring. With that being said, our guys need to put their big boy pants and take care of business on Tuesday with AD and Pels looming next weekend. I can assure, Lacob and Myers will make a subtle pitch to AD throughout the series. Gotta keep that in mind, they want AD.

Yo this was just ugly. Everything was off. Classic warriors early afternoon game. KD needs to find his 3P shot quick. Other than that I can't say much about breakdown the game. They couldn't buy a basket and just looked tired. It's like the effort took away from their focus. Even close shots by the rim wouldn't fall. And everyone's shot was way off. Even KDs misses were more off than usual and he's missing short on 3s. Lack of endurance maybe from not showing any hustle last 2 months of season. I just think this team does bad in afternoon games. It's either really good or really off, never really just OK. And then everything falls for spurs. Draymonds worst game by far and probably the one he played with the most energy. Explain that ish. He needs some kind of offense from 15ft in because he gets the ball close in scoring position a lot and it never ends in buckets. Either too screed to shoot most the time, or bricks a lot of layups. His whole summer should be spent putting up 500 shots a day. 50 each from 5 3pt spots and the rest should be jump hooks and set shots/floaters from the post and inside foul line. Because teams switch so much he's always down there with a lil man and needs to be able to do a jump hooks over him when he's 6 feet in and closer. It would free up the split cuts so much more often

The player Kerr should've had in in the 4Q wasn't Young or Javale or Liv, it was Looney. The only lineups in this series that have consistently been a net + in plus/minus has been those with Looney. Javale is still constantly making mistakes on defense. It's a little concerning that this team has to play full effort to beat a team of geriatrics. Can't beat a bunch of 40 year olds lol I think GSW was trying to see if they could relax a little bit and still beat the Spurs and the answer was no. When you got 2 non-shooters in Draymond/Iguodala on the floor, that basically means both KD and Klay have to be efficient. If one of them plays poorly, we ain't winning. Anything we get from Draymond/Iguodala is just gravy. If we face the Pels, I think we can win at home in G1/2 but we'll need Curry for G3. And I agree, I think he's coming back for G1. Cook's play is concerning bc he hasn't even been able to defend Parker. Gonna be tough to play him if his defense is this bad.

Abhi Kelkar

looked like they were tired tbh. Each one of them has to do more work with Steph out of the lineup

I put the loss on Draymond Never seen an Allstar who has so little drive to score He has this idea that somebody gives him extra points at the end of the game for leading the team in assists. He's under hoop giving up layups for the possibility for a dime And that damn 3 ball just kills all the momentum and work from the previous stop. He had that hobbit Mills on him in the 4th on block and he had to get yelled at to realize the he's twice his size and its he's playing basketball and the point's to score. I personally find him a straight liability on the offensive end without Curry on the floor. Somebody needs to explain to him that the volume of minutes he puts in and the amount of touches he gets, for him not to average 15 points a game is ridiculous and not beneficial for the team.

This was going to be my comment exactly, where was Looney in the 4th and down the stretch and why Nick Young? I can't even understand or guess at Steve's reasoning on the sub pattern. I found myself honestly wondering if there was some injury that effects the subs that I didn't know about. Hey Steve, we out rebounded the Spurs because of Looney and Javale and we could have continued to do that in the 4th....take what's working.

But it's in part because Draymond's shot package is limited to open 3 point shots and straight drives to layups. Daymond doesn't have a reliable...turn around jumper, face the basket elbow/free throw line jumper, hook shot, up and under move....and so on. One additional move could make all the difference, imagine If Draymond had Bernard King's little jump hook....an extremely easy to shoot shot when you have low post size on your side.

He needs Bernard King's little jump hook in the paint when he gets a small on him, simple, easy to learn, effective, doesn't require Draymond to repair his broken shot mechanics because the shot mechanics are completely different.

I see the game this way, a mechanic with all the right tools and uses a wrench when a screwdriver is needed - that says more about the mechanic than the toolbox. Kerr has all the right guys He doesn't seem to know WHEN he needs them.
