These last 20+ games, hopefully they can build a habit of letting the guy who has it going finish off the game, win or lose. Like against POR, I like how KD was trying to close out the game on his way to a 50 point game. This game Curry was the closer and had it going really the whole game. No hopping between KD or Klay. (Though historically Curry owns the Clippers). Defense is a work in progress and on the TNT telecast, it was obvious Kerr had a sense of urgency compared to his previous “Mic’d up” videos. In terms of OKC on Saturday, I’m not sure they are quite ready yet and don’t expect them to win but expect them to give a better effort than last 2 blowout games. GSW are just not fully focused yet on valuing the ball and that’s the biggest issue against OKC. They feast on turnovers and already do with their length. Unless we somehow turn up our defensive intensity and slow down Russ from going right, we have a chance. Not saying we can’t beat them, just not ready yet.

I hope to God they defend Russ better. He is not hard to guard. We know he is going to drive 70% of the time when he decides to attack and they shouldn't act all surprised when this happens. Kerr mentions always having a guy behind the primary defender and that's really the key point in preventing Russ from getting easy buckets. Gave up too many free points the last two games to Russ even though he did get lucky with his midrange and 3-pt shots.

I explained it a bit in the extended cut. He has been in LA all week, in his interview with Woj, he mentions if he is not careful his crib turns into a frat house when in LA. Then he shows up with a lowkey sunburn, and reminded me of all the stories of athletes having great games hungover. He strikes me as the type.
