Kyrie Irving seeking trade from Cleveland Cavaliers

My Bad yall, it was Brian Windhorst reporting that in a meeting last week Kyrie Irving asked to be traded for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Does this mean LeBron is as good as gone? Or is this a locker room thing?

Honestly, whenever we play the Cavs I'm always more worried about Kyrie as an offensive threat than LeBron James as weird as that sounds. Kyrie is a better outside shooter, a more creative driver to the paint, and is one of the most dangerous in the league when he gets hot. He always has the ability to collapse defenses because of his driving and shooting ability and I can tell that he gives defenses headaches--even Klay gets tired guarding this dude. Assuming that we meet up with the Cavs in the finals again, it's gonna be a MUCH easier finals.

Not necessarily! For all his swager, he is a limited "superstar" as far as total impact. If they get a 2 way star in return, as well as more depth they might be a tougher out.

The most interesting thing to me is the possibility that he knows LeBron is leaving the Cavs. Wow. AA, do you see Kyrie making this request if LeBron is staying? If so, what would you think is behind that?

athleticalchemy

Yeah I think he knows he is leaving. But that doesn't need to be the only reason. Like I said from a basketball fit, it was never ideal. He is probably tired of standing off in the corner for 20 min a night.

Sharp analysis as usual.

Cool video Alchemy but I can't see the Pelicans not giving the two bigs another season to try things out. They didin't have much time to mesh this last season and I think they are one of the more underrated teams coming into the next season. What is your opinion on the Pelicans at the moment?

Holiday has never been able to stay healthy! I think that contract was a huge mistake. Should have kept the cap flexibility. Even if the 2 bigs can coexist..is it enough to even get home court in the West? I'd try and build s team around AD like Houston did with Harden. A bunch of 3D guys...
