I really, truly, wanted to like this movie, but apparently the VHS box art is the best thing about it. The pacing is atrocious. I can't believe I'd ever see a movie that's barely over 90 minutes yet could easily lose 20 more minutes without anyone noticing. Pros: I enjoyed the gore effects. Set design is fine. The acting is ok. Cons: Holy shit, the first 35 or so minutes are an absolute snooze fest, and when finally something does happen, the momentum is stopped cold in its tracks for another 20 minutes. Also, I don't know if it was for budget reasons, but you don't even see the monster until the 65 minute mark! That should be criminal. If I weren't watching with the reaction, I would have easily fallen asleep by the time anything close to interesting happened.
