I think they felt they needed to expedite the progress of the case because the deputy ops was pushing for buy bust so they went with the orlando plan. And on his end, he’d obviously be more eager to reduce any consequences by cooperating. Obviously not a good idea in hindsight but these characters aren’t watching the show with us.

I noticed you guys keep wondering about Avon and Stringer Bells status towards each other. While Avon is clearly the main guy, he and Bell know each other since they were children. They are almost equal partners in this endeavor, with Avon taking the lead, because the Barksdales have been in the game for a long time, so he inherited the name and all the connections I assume.

I’m loving your reactions to this great show! Don’t get too frustrated about getting a few names wrong here and there or not being able to understand all of the language. You’re doing great and in my opinion you’re picking up what the show is putting down amazingly well for a first watch. The Wire is a show you can watch multiple times and still pick up something new. It’s very layered. I hope you keep going and watch all 5 seasons. It’s such a well written and well acted show. You won’t be disappointed.

Cause they did it for 24 but it isn’t logical to assume that for other series when it was never mentioned lol. 24 is like 80 seasons long so i think thats the only reason they did it for that show.
