Regarding Mrs. Movies feelings about the show feeling weird and the production. The show's creator Bryan Fuller develops worlds that are quixotic and fanciful. Some of his other shows include Dead Like Me (a grim reaper who ferries the souls of the dead), Wonderfalls (a girl who talks to inanimate objects), and Pushing Daisies (a man who can bring people back to life for a minute). The shows exist in reality but are also otherworldly. I would also say this show likes to obfuscate the truth and leave it up to the viewer to decide how things happened, up until the moment they are ready to tell you. It still follows a narrative but it can take a bit to adjust to and you may not get all the answers to the questions right away. Don't know if that helps or makes it worse. Also in regard to Winston the dog. Will took him home and cleaned him up. While he does still have him and does like collecting strays, there's no reason to believe he didn't call the local shelters and see if anyone had a missing dog out there. Just to ease your mind about him dognapping strays. :) Cheers!
