The scene in "Pine Barrens" where Paulie is pumping his own gas is a big goof for Jersey viewers. It's illegal to pump your own gas here in NJ, we're a full-service only state (the last one). When Bobby Bacala shows up in his hunter gear, the cutaway to Tony laughing hysterically is because Steve Schirripa, the actor who played Bobby, was standing off-camera wearing a dreadlock wig and with a giant dildo sticking out of his pants. While they're wandering through the woods Bobby mentions the Jackson Whites, a group of weird albino backwoods people. The Jackson Whites are actually backwoods people living in the North Jersey wilderness, close to New York state. This episode takes place in the Pine Barrens of South Jersey, which has its own backwoods community, the Pineys. The Barrens is also the home of our state cryptid, the Jersey Devil, but I believe his scene was cut from this episode.
