What I took from Erin's last speech is almost a, "We were both right and both wrong. But it's ok." Her speech describes what happens to her consciousness, now that it can no longer be housed in her body, what she would probably refer to as her "soul." Her body is matter, and she is the cosmos, a part of the "One" - a collective consciousness to which she is returning. She marvels that she forgot who she was while she was "dreaming" of being Erin. The "One" is God, and it is all of us. Personally, I found it uplifting, positive, and a great comfort. Loved watching your reaction and very interested to see you watch Bly Manor now. I've never known anyone to watch the seasons in 1-3-2 order before!

I like that he kept the liberal coating of religiosity going right up to the credits, with the hymn, etc, to buffer the fact that Erin's speech pretty much said "We're all just atoms, and regardless of the shenanigans that our local collection of atoms has gotten up to, it's all pretty much meaningless in the scope of the entire universe."

If you missed it, they are up to episode #4 of "The Haunting of Bly Manor" already.
