The first couple movies in this series are definitely worth seeing but starting at like Saw 3 is when they get dumb and seem like they're just trying to disturb the viewer and nothing more. The two newest films, Jigsaw and Spiral, are the best ones after the original. Tobin Bell plays the Jigsaw part quite well, and is known for playing several creepy characters.

I'm so glad you "enjoyed" this 😂 and yes, I will continue to recommend films just for my sheer amusement haha

One of the best twist endings of all time. Saw 2 has a really great one too. Cary Elwes acting is so cringeworthy in the last 30 minutes or so it takes me out of this one, though. He’s just wretched.

Oh yes he is. He lapses in and out of accents. His crying is laughable. I originally saw an advanced screening of this back in the day and the audience was laughing. He’s not a bad actor, but in that instance he is. He’s just terrible.

Yeah, it was not good and I think perhaps they just wanted to get it over with and not bother with reshooting the scenes. Also, his character simply could have use his shirt to reach the cellphone but they needed an excuse for the saw scene.

Jigsaw and Spiral are widely regarded by actual Saw fans as near the bottom of the franchise list.
