Escape from New York is hands down his best on this list. However they’re all classics

Mike Tocci

I'd really like to see Assault on Precinct 13. It's real early Carpenter and just a good grindhouse type movie.

I feel so young whenever these polls are posted:p I know none of them

'Escape from NY' HAS to win eventually.!! Please keep putting it on polls.!!

In The Mouth of Madness is uderrated, in my opinion, and I still love Starman. Most of the rest are classics so you cant really go wrong, I think.

Dooly

In The Mouth of Madness is the best film on the list but I guess less people saw it than The Fog. The Fog is a fine film but ITMoM is Carpenter at his best.

I'll happily be that one guy who votes for JC Vampires.....it was my intro to JC.

If you do The Fog, please to the ORIGINAL not the shitty remake.

Justin S.

All good choices here, although Vampires was probably the weakest one in my opinion. Starman is a unique blend of romance and science fiction and one of Jeff Bridge's best performances.

Love The Fog but have to show Euro version of Swamp Thing to see Adrienne's Barbeaus for You, Me and Boobies.

Christine is a nice crossover with Stephen King and John Carpenter 😀 second vote would be Starman.

Rick Trujillo

That lighthouse in The Fog is a real place and on my bucket list of places to visit

The Fog, for sure—then Halloween 3, so you can have a conversation about how John Carpenter keeps Tom Atkins’ characters banging girls young enough to be his daughter.

Rick Trujillo

Dr Challis was a real ladies man! The characters were weak but I don't care. I absolutely love Halloween 3!

They Live is a classic. An 80s slasher that I highly recommend: Happy Birthday to Me. And please do some Italian horror like Argento's Suspiria and Demons.

Justin S.

I wondered if they would be open to some Argento flicks because while the writing and acting is not always the best, the camera work and atmosphere are done better than most horror films. Tenebre is Argento's best in my opinion but Suspiria is a classic and they could compare it to the remake.

Justin S.

Yeah, but they've been on TV multiple times over the years. Also, I grew up with video stores, so it was easier to seek out films that you hadn't seen or look interesting just based on the VHS or DVD covers.
