Lol I think everyone had been waiting for the car jump scare. It didn’t disappoint.

It’s one of the all time best jump scares, and apparently she did it on her own time, earlier than in the script so the actors playing Theo and Shirley were genuinely shocked when it happened.

Mrs. got frustrated that they don't talk to each other and share their experiences. The way i see it is that's because they don't listen nor hear each other. Like when Lil' Luke said they never believe him. Like when Lil' Nelly said she was standing right there and they couldnt see her. They all put up walls and shut themselves out of each other's lives because of their individual experiences as kids and the need to compartmentalize their trauma. Speaking to each other about those things, like Shirley and Theo's knocking, makes those situations real and something they have to deal with. They all have coping mechanisms which allow them to not have to confront their issues, Issues that mirror Lukes literal addiction, Like Shirley's need to control, Theo's need for interpersonal boundaries, etc. Sorry for the wall of text. This show just speaks to me so I can drone on about it. And Steven's stance about kids mirror my own for both familial and genetic reasons.

She has great taste. Dr. Sleep is an amazing film. I can never seem to the snag the request slot, but I hope eventually you both watch Mulholland Drive and Suspiria (2018).
