Misery is one of my favorite movies!

Misery is better than The Mist, but The Mist will probably yield better reactions. I’m sure they can circle back around to Misery

Pretty much all good choices here although I'm not a big fan of The Mist because of that one scene, which I won't spoil. Maximum Overdrive is the only movie Stephen King actually directed and it's a cheesy 80s horror flick with some bad dialogue and acting but is entertaining, especially watching with friends. Children of the Corn was creepy but none of the sequels are really worth watching and I don't understand why it became a long horror series. Same deal with Amityville Horror. The ones left out that I would include in the next Stephen King poll are The Dead Zone, Firestarter, Needful Things, and The Dark Half.

Misery is a great movie, and not really horror. It is much more a thriller, and can be watched anytime. So, I'm voting for something that better qualifies as "horror".

Oh man, The Mist is a must Halloween watch.!!

I hope you all watch The Mist. Not only was it filmed here in Shreveport, but my husband was an extra in it. In addition we got to go to the wrap party and hang out with the cast. They were all so sweet.

If she hasn’t seen it yet, and considering how much she loved “Doctor Sleep,” you need to add “ Gerald’s Game” to the list. It’s on Netflix and it is from one of my favorite King novels…but it is also adapted for the screen and directed by none other than Mike Flanagan…the very same adapter and director of “Doctor Sleep” and “The Haunting of Hill House!”
