Midnight Mass drops today on Netflix & since we are in the middle of running through The Hauntings from Mike Flanagan, the Mrs and I are wondering if we should add this to the run.

Now I've thought there could be a couple of ways to add this to the schedule:

  • Watch it after Hill House & before Bly Manor.
  • Watch it after Bly Manor. Or After Hill House.
  • Watch 1 Episode of Midnight Mass & 1 Episode of Bly Manor (this option would be two separate videos). Then a double feature to finish off Bly Manor. MM is 7 Episodes. Bly Manor is 9 Episodes.

Let us know what you think.

It looks like a typical Netflix show where all the good parts are in the trailer and then doesn't deliver

Reading the synopsis, it sounds like a knock-off of Needful Things. Meh for me.

I vote not at all.

There are better shows.

Think I'm the only one that thinks it has great potential 😄👍

I just finished it. It's worth a watch for the directing, but there's really not much to react to. Nothing scary at all. 😞

Both of them were bad. Mike Flanagan got lucky with Hill House. His subsequent efforts were of far lower quality.

I think after Hill House and Bly Manor. Havent watched it yet so not really sure. You can ignore anyone claiming he was just 'lucky' with Hill House considering Doctor Sleep is obviously really good, and Bly Manor isn't supposed to be Hill House and is enjoyable on its own. His other work prior to the show is more than solid so to claim that somehow only 'luck' was why Hill House was so great is objectively moronic.

Flanagan is better at making horror films than he is horror series. I still think Hill House is the single outlier, good source material along with good performances and writing. Bly Manor shouldn’t have been marketed as the follow up to Hill House when it’s more a soap opera than a horror story. And Midnight Mass put me to sleep.

Where’s the option for skip both Bly Manor and Midnight Mass?

So long as you guys are in a Mike Flanagan kind of mood, his 2013 movie Oculus would be a great movie to react to.

I’m halfway through Midnight Mass and would love to see your reactions to it 🤯
