Hey everyone I'd just like to start by saying the votes are over, and Ruth is officially the character coming in v0.6.

She will feature metal as her genre of music. More info will come on her when v0.6 begins development.

Now on to the main topic of this post. The Future Fragments crossover is coming alongside Cali in v0.5 making this the largest update to date. It's been very busy. I have a few things I can show. The main image of the post is Faye's (from Future Fragments) Hscene which will involve a revolving door. (It's almost like a dual Hscene ;P). The modifier involved with her will be "Gravity" which will flip the Y axis of the chart, and in turn, flip Faye in her scene. The full animation will definitely be challenging, but it is well into creation at the time of this post.

As I mentioned before, this cross-over actually features a "platforming section", which will play on some features/calls to Future Fragments, alongside some of our own features.

It will feature 4 sections, and a "Hub".

There is the "Intro" section, which shows the basic core mechanic of the level. Platforms that adjust to the beat of the song.

After the intro, you reach the hub. You must access 3 control panels in each of the remaining sections of the stage.

Upon reaching the hub, you are introduced to a gravity switch, and much like in Future Fragments, it will reverse your gravity scale.

There is a  "Horizontal" section, where you must take on both the platform mechanic, and the Gravity mechanic to reach the end of the hall.

There is a "Vertical" section, which features climbing, and an elevator section.

and finally it will feature the "Trap" section which is home to some traps similar to what is featured in Future Fragments.

These are sneak peeks at the sections. While the sections are not too long individually, some may pose quite a challenge.

Upon hitting all control panels, the door to the room with Faye will be unlocked, and you will gain access to the Hscene(The Hscene will play the same as the SpunkStock you all know).

You may have noticed in some of these that there are hearts to collect. These hearts will award Reputation when collected, which will contribute to your reputation total outside of the crossover as well.

For those who have no interest in any form of a platforming section (this is a rhythm game after all), know that none of the cross-over content will be mandatory to completing the game.

I thought it would be fun to have something on the side that plays completely different from the main game (as a little change of pace). A lot of the mechanics in Future Fragments were neat, so I thought about how I could mix our game(being a rhythm game) into it. To me, this is what makes a fun cross over, and I hope you all think so too.

----------

On that note. That should wrap up the current info on the cross over.  There is a small thing I never touched up on, which was the modifiers coming with Cali. I will give a quick rundown on them.

Perception (1-Star) - Perception gives a % chance to score a "Critical" on a Perfect hit. Each stack will increase the chance. Scoring a Critical Hit will have double effectiveness of the progression gained.

Barrier (1-Star) - Barrier will create a shield. The barrier will convert 1 "Hit" into a "Perfect". Upon doing this, the barrier will be consumed. (Barriers cannot stack. You can only have 1 barrier applied at 1 time, however AFTER the barrier is consumed, it can be reapplied by getting the modifier again. (a "Miss" currently will not trigger Barrier at all)

------

Okay guys. This was a loaded post, but it is a loaded monthly update ahaha. There will be one more post before the launch of v0.5. I will cover the last few things on that post.

Thanks everyone for sticking with SpunkStock, it's come a long way since launch, and has been an awesome experience. Catch you guys next week!

I've got to say, when I first found SpunkStock, when you posted the first build on newgrounds I didn't think much of the game at the time since it was pretty bare bones and it only had the two songs with few modifiers. But I recently came back and tried the build with the endurance mode and I can now safely say this project is one of the gems. I'm SOLD; and I don't usually like rhythm games.

Thanks ^^ I'm glad you enjoyed it. The game has come quite a ways since the first build. The support has been a great help!
