Evening all, it's mid-month update time!

This update finishes off the Sorority mini-plotline, including the addition of a new CG! I've also advanced Choker's plotline a few scenes further. For the rest of the month I'll be adding on a little bit more, in order to get to some adult playtime content with her, before moving back to some Seeder scenes.

While I don't have much more to say on the update, I unfortunately do have to do a bit of a rant tonight. As you may have noticed, I've always made my games in Unity. And as you may or may not have heard, Unity has recently announced plans to change their pricing structure to one where they charge game devs for every time a copy of their game is installed somewhere. To gloss over the details a little, this is utterly insane for two main reasons. First, their plan allows them to charge game devs more money than those game devs have ever earned. Second, they're retroactively applying this to games that were already completed and released, even, with no opt-out, essentially declaring that they can charge game devs any amount of money they want at any time.

Now, fortunately(?), I myself don't actually make much money from this project, let alone near the $200k limit they've set for this to kick in at. However, it is bad enough that I have to be afraid of what could happen if I ever did make it big. While they have backed off on at least one point, they were originally planning to count every individual browser play as an 'install', and between Coup and Voyages I have literally hundreds of thousands of browser plays I've never earned a penny from. Even for a small fry for me, it's a real concern. So my current position is this: as things stand, I won't be making any changes, as trying to shift to Godot or Unreal halfway through the project would bring content development to a screeching halt for at least a couple months. If I ever get as far as making a third game however, I won't be able to make it with Unity unless they both back off on this entirely and fire their current leadership (into the sun). I'll be watching this pretty closely though, and if they somehow manage to make things worse I may have to readjust.

As a personal note, I'd like to mention that my enjoyment of Unity as a tool is actually at least, like, a solid third of the reason why I got into game dev as a hobby in the first place. I've actually had fun working in it, and I far prefer it to what I've seen playing around with Unreal. The company taking itself off the list of game engines I can recommend to others or myself is not something I'm enjoying. If anyone happens to have the ear of a Unity CEO, feel free to call them an idiot for me.

So, with all that drama done with, enjoy the latest update! Patrons can find the game at the previous link, and the patch notes are below. Also, don't forget to vote in the cameo poll if you can! Thanks for playing!
