State of the Game: Getting What You Wish For (Patreon)

Evening all, it's time for an update! As usual, v0.11.0 is now free for the public up at the itch page! As for v0.12.0, it's now available for supporters with a few new scenes and a bit of new functionality.

As I mentioned last time, my main goal for this update was to add in player requests to the procedural romance scenes. With this functionality, you'll no longer need to wait for the RNG to trigger an NPC to take actions on the player character, but can instead specifically request for them to do so. With this in, the feature is now mostly complete...until it's time to add in sex toys, bondage, and group activities. However, those will be further down the line.

I've also added in one scene in the 'Seeder Leader' plotline and one for the 'Harian Civilians'. The Seeder scene is notable as you'll have the option of making a moral choice, the sort of thing which may add up to consequences down the line, so something to consider. The Harian scene is notable as you'll have the option to see a Harian do nude modeling. Also an important thing to consider.

For the next month the plan is to focus mostly or entirely on writing for both factions. We're also due for an art pack update, so look forward to that this weekend. Next month however it will probably be time for me to consider whether or not to start working on adding in the next two factions to the game, which will depend on how far I get this month. I'll let you know how things are going in the next update, til then, patch notes are below, and patron links will follow.

Game Functions:

• Players may now make specific requests of partners during procedural Romance Scenes, rather than waiting for random events:
• Players must be involved in a multi-person position for the option to appear.
• Players may make any number of requests, but changing position or canceling requests will turn all requests inactive.
• Partners with active requests will not randomly change their current behavior, unless they have the 'Royalty' trait.
• Romance Scene help text updated with current functionality status.

Scene Content:

• Second scene in Sage Lantana plotline added to Everroots, unlocked 40 hours after the first.
• Third scene in Harian Civilians plotline added to Victorious, unlocked 40 hours after the second. Bonus variant available with 150 millitals.

Bug Fixes:

• Improved reliability of timer flags being updated during save compatibility checks.
• Fixed bug where the XO character creation screen would display the career selection option if the player character was a shapeshifter (any career selected here has no effect).
• Fixed issue where the starting ship name would be reset immediately after renaming. Affected ships can be renamed at the DTF Dockyards.
• Typo fixes.
