Evening folks, time for our first update of the month! This update largely focuses on the foundation work for the office upgrades functionality - you now have the ability to choose what sort of upgrades you want to give your office, based on the recruits you have available, and those upgrades now have the ability to impact director scenes. For those of you who have already done the 'upgrades', you'll be rolled back a bit so that you can now make proper choices. Although recruit assignment is not yet fully in, this part of progression is now firmly in place - you won't be able to progress Director plotlines without first doing the upgrades. This will likewise affect your ability to do Department scenes. On the plus side, unlocking scenes now comes with increased feelings of pride and accomplishment.

I've also gone through and updated the director scenes where it fits for the first two upgrade types. While this is about 2/3rds of the scenes that will need updating, that last third is where most of the work is going to be - which style you choose for your hidden bedroom will likely have a much larger impact on how the scenes play than where you put your hidden cameras. This will probably be most or all of my work for the second release of the month. I've also replaced an old placeholder Hellfire scene with a somewhat better placeholder. While I may still write a full-fledged scene for this at some point, that will probably wait til the end of this development phase.

We also have another set of Specialist CGs in this update, with the Switch/Hummer mindswap scene! The final sets of Specialist scenes are currently in the works, so I encourage Liberator+ patrons to check out the recent poll on what other art you'd like to see in the game once those are checked off.

As usual, game links will follow, and patch notes below. Thanks for playing!

v0.46.0 Change Log

Game Functions:

  • Monthly Cheat Code Updated
  • A new cheat option has been added, 'Add Agents', which will add five active agents of each species and gender with each use.
  • Office upgrade choices have been added at each upgrade tier. Selecting an option will require having the needed agents available, although they are not yet being 'assigned'.
  •    Note: If you have upgraded the office in previous versions, you will be rolled back a bit so that you have the ability to choose which upgrades you want. Hellfire Upgrade scenes will play at the end of the day as they normally do.
  •    New director progress flags have been added, to give a warning when a new office upgrade is required to progress a director's plotline. It may be required to play the director scenes again in order to once again unlock the later scenes.
  • Functionality added to support director scene variations based on office upgrade choices.

Mission Content:

  • None

Scene Content:

  • Small scene to introduce the final office upgrade added, replacing an old placeholder.
  • Minor Office Upgrade-related edits to various Director scenes: Commandos 2/3, Roboticists 2/3, Cloners 2, Secret Police 2, Scientists 2, Propagandists 3, Workers 2/3.

Art Content:

  • Switch/Hummer Threesome CGs added to Scenes and Gallery (2 variants)

Codex Entries:

  • None

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed issue where choosing the 'return to office' option at the end of the day would skip any Hellfire office upgrade scenes. (These scenes would play if using one of the time skip options, and were still unlocked for replay in Hellfire's office.)
  • Fixed various typos.

Known Issues:

  • TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
  • WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.
