So, we're now entering one of the more exciting phases of development, or at least one hopes. Phase 1, the species introduction phase, was generally formulaic - each species gets a certain number of department scenes, director scenes, a specialist is introduced, and so on. Phase 2 meanwhile will be much more feature-focused, where each month or two will be a rather different feature being worked on.

The first feature I'll be working on is a total overhaul of the game's introduction sequence. This may not be particularly exciting for those of you who've already gotten into the game, and the longer intro will be skippable for those who don't want to go through it, but I think it is important for making a better finished product. The current info dump is a whole lot of telling and not a lot of showing, even for a text game, and I think I can do better with some time dedicated to it.

This won't mean a total lack of smut for June, however. In addition to keeping the intro itself interesting, this month's random encounter scenario poll winner will involve an artistically-inclined Schen, so there's that to look forward to. Schedule-wise, you can expect the HD Art Pack update later this weekend, v0.18.0 in about 2 weeks, and the next Watch Station Stories chapter a bit after that. The tutorial revamp is one of the smaller Phase 2 features, so expect a poll soon on which feature to tackle next as well.
