v0.19.1 Game Status: Untapped Markets (Patreon)

Evening all, it's time for our mid-month update! But first off, I'd like to let you know that the Overseer's Edition of Carnal Coup is now on sale on both Steam and itch! While this is part of the Spring Sales, I'd actually been intending to do a sale this week anyhow in celebration of Steam's new game privacy options. That's right - you can now play adult games on Steam without letting all your friends know about it! I've lost almost all of my shame a long time ago, but perhaps someone out there still has some.

As for this release, we've got some Schen and some Happee content for you! As promised, I've finished off the half-done Schen Specialist scene from the last update, and started off the Happee Specialist plotline as well. The Schen Specialist, 'Dr. Gigi', also now has portrait artwork which has been added in. Additionally, I've expanded the scene replay mode in the ship office to cover some of the scenes for the new factions. You may also be glad to know that Happee DTF recruits are now possible, with one duty assignment in that system potentially rewarding them. Finally, one minor fix not included below - I've adjusted the resolution settings in the online web version of the game which should fix some GUI issues when not in fullscreen mode. I'll likely carry this over to v0.19.0 in the next public update.

For the next update, I'll be working more on getting the Happee plotlines going. At a minimum I'd like to kick off the Happee Leader arc, and I'll likely add in a bit more for the other faction plotlines as well. Haven't decided yet which I'll rotate to after that, but I'll be sure to let you know in the next monthly update. Til then, patch notes are below, and downloads can be found at the previous link. Scene Content:

• Second Schen Specialist scene completed, with nine Player-focused mini-branches added, most based on player traits. If previously played, scene will need to be replayed to count as completed.
• 1 Duty Assignment added to Joi System.
• First Happee Specialist scene added to Megastructure Mall. Note: Portrait is a placeholder.
• Scene replay options added for Schen and Happee scenes. New scene replays added: Schen Specialist 1 & 2, Schen Leader 1, Happee Specialist 1

Art Content:

• Dr. Geesht portraits added to scenes and gallery (3 variants). Clothed variants unlocked by having played their first scene, additional variant can be unlocked via cheats.

Codex Entries:

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed error that would occur if using cheats to view the Gallery portraits of NPCs that had not been created yet (namely, Admiral Clausen). These portraits will not be available until the NPC has been met as their gender is defined at that point.
• Fixed error that would break the Lover versions of the XO Office scene.
