What is VAM?

VAM is short for Virt-A-Mate. If you've come to this Patreon without knowing this, you're in luck: you've discovered a pretty nice thing!

It is a porn game/sandbox, where you can build up pretty much any kind of fantasy... or enjoy what other people in the community have built!
The game has full body physics, hair physics, so you can make realistic animations from the get go, with minimal efforts.

There is a strong and nice community around this game; new content continuously keeps coming in thanks to the people in it. Just go to Virtamate Hub to have an idea on how much content is available (for free for a huge part).

And here I am, one among the VAM creators, offering you some of the spiciest content available ;)

Is VAM free?

Yes, there is a free version.

With the free version of VAM, you'll be able to view and interact with the scenes only. Start with that and see if you like it!

This free version is enough to enjoy my content: you'll be able to play all the scenes, but not edit them at all.

If you want to build up your own scenes or edit some, you'll just need to get a key (no further install required). You can get it by subscribing to MeshedVR Patreon.
I strongly advise to go for the "Creator" key, which will allow you to enjoy the game without any limitation!
Note that you just need to subscribe once to get the key: there is no need to keep your subscription active - unless you want to keep supporting the project, of course!

This looks nice! How do I get this software?

You can get VAM for free on MeshedVR Patreon.
Just download the updater on the download page and launch it.

It's a portable software, which means you can put it anywhere on your PC, or even on an external drive. And if you don't like it, you can simply get rid of it just by deleting the folder where you've installed it.

Note that VAM is made for Virtual Reality (VR), but also works perfectly without it (on "Desktop mode"). You can trust me on this: I personally doesn't have a VR headset.

Be aware that you'll need a solid PC running Windows, especially if you want to run VAM in VR.

How do I add your content in it?

If you want to enjoy my content, you just have to put the ".VAR" files into the "AddonPackages" folder located in your install directory.
Do that before launching VAM, or restart it if is was running while you've added those files.

VAR files are dedicated files for VAM software, containing the additional content provided. Those are no more than a ZIP file with another extension: you can open them with any software able to open a zip, if you want to take a look inside. Just to be clear: there is no need to unzip anything.

Most content will depend on some other content already shared. Make sure that you download all the dependencies needed (listed on the "Dependencies & thanks section of all my posts, or in the ".var.depend.txt" file) before trying to run it, otherwise it won't behave as intended.

All my content relies only on dependencies that are available for free on the Hub or on this Patreon. And I'll keep it that way: I guarantee that my stuff will never requires any content necessitating an additional subscription.

Note that you can easily download Hub-hosted dependencies directly from the game. From the menu icons on the bottom of the screen, click on the "Hub Browse" icon, then on the "Scan Hub For Missing Referenced Packages" button on the bottom left and then on the green "Download All" button.

I'm a bit lost... Can I find help somewhere?

Yep. There are lots and lots of options, pretty much everything is customizable, pretty much anything can be added in a scene... VAM can be overwhelming at first. Luckily, there are lots of places where to find some guidance and help!

  • First, take a look at the Official Wiki.
  • You've also plenty of guides available on the Hub. Use the search function to find the one that could be of use to you (use "This category" instead of "Everywhere" in your search)!
  • And if some things are still unclear after looking at all this, don't hesitate to go to the Hub forum or on the official Discord and ask the community!

And if you need help regarding my content, you can ask away in the comment section of the post of the resource you need help with. Or send me a message!

Have fun with VAM!
