Language and gender liveshow in three hours! (Patreon)

This is your reminder that the Lingthusiasm liveshow about language and gender with Kirby Conrod will be starting in exactly three (3) hours from the timestamp of this post/email, thanks to the magic of scheduling posts at very specific times!

The show will take place on the Lingthusiasm Discord, which is available for all patrons at the Ling-thusiast tier and above. If you haven't joined the Discord yet, here are instructions for linking your Patreon and Discord accounts. Once you get into Discord, you'll see a whole bunch of text channels to type in and one audio channel called "listen here" (scroll all the way to the bottom), which is what you click on to join the show (don't worry, everyone except the host and guest will be automatically muted on joining). If you get confused while you're in there, post in one of the channels (such as #suggestions-and-help) and other people can help you get in the right spot!

There will be music playing in the listen channel for a few minutes before the top of the hour to give you something to do as you filter in. During the show, you can livereact and text chat with your fellow lingthusiasts using the #listen-along-chat channel. 

The show will last a bit over half an hour, like a normal Lingthusiasm episode, and then we'll open up the floor and take further questions using the #ama-questions channel for the rest of the hour and we can chat a bit more informally! (Thank you to people who have asked questions there in advance, which will be part of the main show!) If this time falls when you'd be sleeping or are otherwise busy, or if you just don't feel like figuring out a new tech platform, we'll also have the edited audio and transcript as an upcoming bonus episode.
