This episode is the Q&A session recorded after the Discourse markers liveshow. We fielded questions from the audience, as well as some sent in by patrons and fans who couldn't attend, and now you get to hang out with this excellent roomful of lingthusiasts in virtual space!

We discuss 'eh', that most Canadian of discourse markers, and our favourite discourse markers. We also talk about 'double is' and what Lauren noticed (linguistically!) while visiting Montreal. There is also an update from Gretchen about how her book is coming along.

You may want to listen to the Discourse markers liveshow recording (Bonus #8) before listening to this episode, but it's not required!

Brief Patreon Update

We know there's some uncertainty about what's going on with Patreon right now. We're monitoring the situation, both as the creators of this podcast and also as patrons of other great podcasters, bloggers and artists. We totally understand if you need to consolidate your pledges at this time (or at any time). We'll let you know if we hear of any major further developments, but for now bonuses will be going ahead here as planned. We'd just upgraded the bonuses to full length and added in the option for custom-coloured merch at all patron levels before the payment processing changes were announced, so hopefully that balances things out a bit. As always, we appreciate every kind of support!
