I can't imagine what it would be like to lose both parents by age 12, then have to care for an older brother who is autistic without any help from the Korean social system. I cut him huge slack just for that. He's had to carry the weight alone for so long that opening up to anyone is incredibly difficult. He is growing though and the scene with the hospital director shows that. Dr. Oh is clearly the father figure that he never had. The scene where Gang tae was silently comforted by him is very touching. Things are about to heat up.
