They introduced a different idea of family a few episodes back when Sang tae was talking about the cartoon family who weren't related, but lived together as a family. In this episode Sang tae connected the dots and accepted the idea that a family could be based on something besides blood. Ko Moon young's birth family, by comparison, were horribly dysfunctional and not really a family at all. I know Subway is product placement, but I figure if they're having a scene which involves a quick meal then it's going to be a fast food franchise. Alvolo Pizza is also product placement, but since it's a South Korean franchise a lot of foreigners probably don't recognize the name. Sanchez's restaurant in Hotel del Luna was also Pizza Alvolo. The show is quite restrained about product placement compared to most Korean TV.
