In the Avengers' base, Peter set aside his controller with a sigh and picked up Pikachu, who was nearby, rubbing its cheeks as he said, "If it weren't for your random button pressing, how would the language system have gotten messed up?"

Pikachu frowned and replied, "It's not my fault. We could have taken him on for two rounds. But when you landed, you damaged one of the tentacles!"

Peter retorted, "Don't you have your own controller? Why do you have to steal mine? You..."

Just as Peter was about to continue, he noticed his mobile phone ringing. He picked it up and said, "Hello? Gwen? Are you out of class? Oh, you're SpiderGwen? Sorry, my mistake. What? You're in trouble? Doctor Octopus? Well, I'm a bit busy right now..."

"No, we don't have a relationship with our world's Doctor Octopus; he's just a researcher, easy to deal with. His weakness is his tentacles, especially the third one on his left side. If you can destroy that tentacle, he'll lose balance. Yes, follow my advice, and you'll be fine."

After hanging up the phone, Peter picked up the controller again and asked, "SpiderGwen encountered Doctor Octopus too? But we only released three robots. Which one did she encounter?"

"Let me check. Shadow Spider-Man is Doctor Octopus number one, Superhuman Spider-Man is number two, and Spider-Man 2099 is number three..."

Peter scratched his head in confusion, and suddenly, he froze, his expression stiffening as his voice echoed through the entire Avengers base:

"No! Gwen! Don't go near him! That's the real deal!"

SpiderGwen crashed to the ground with a painful cry. She looked at the approaching tentacles and clenched her teeth, then used her spider web to swing to the rooftop of a nearby building.

SpiderGwen stared at Dr. Octavius, who was looking up at her. She exclaimed in surprise, "What's going on?? His mechanical arms..."

"The third tentacle... the third tentacle..." SpiderGwen fell again and made a fake move towards Doctor Octopus's right leg. He instinctively turned away, and SpiderGwen's spider web wrapped around the third tentacle on his right side. She pulled hard.

With a "sizzle," the spider web snapped.

"What are you trying to do, young lady?" Doctor Octopus asked.

He didn't recognize SpiderGwen as Spider-Man, as her costume and appearance were too different, and their genders didn't match. Moreover, Doctor Octopus knew that Spider-Man was Peter, and Peter wouldn't be fighting on the streets at this time. He thought his opponent was another street hero.

"I don't know where you came from, but my tentacles are registered with S.H.I.E.L.D. I have the right to use them to commute in New York legally. You don't look that old; can't you go home and do your homework instead of wandering the streets? Nobody here needs your help."

"Do you think I'll believe you?" SpiderGwen clung to the nearby building, glaring at Doctor Octopus coldly. "You only want to carry out your evil plan, and I'll stop you!"

Doctor Octopus rolled his eyes and casually cut the spider web SpiderGwen had shot at him. She exclaimed in surprise, "What material are your tentacles made of? How could you cut my spider web?"

"You don't even know Molten Steel?" Doctor Octopus frowned, looking at SpiderGwen. "It's a metal that produces a fire pattern under sunlight. Which university did you graduate from? You don't even know this?"

"Also, you're not some Spider-Man imitator, are you? But even if you are, you should at least improve your technical skills. What is your spider web made of?"

"Well, it's a compound of fibers and mucus," SpiderGwen instinctively replied.

Doctor Octopus immediately sneered, "Don't tell me it's a product of biology and chemistry. Even if you don't really know Spider-Man, you should know that his spider web is actually made of metal."

"How is that possible?!" SpiderGwen instinctively retorted. "I tried using soft metals, but their flexibility was completely inadequate..."

"Completely inadequate? You're too hasty! You dare make such absolute conclusions with your level of expertise? You're far inferior to the real Spider-Man!"

"He's the one who researched a new alloy spider web himself. Plus, in the symbiote research project, he invented a living spider web..."

"Never mind, why am I telling you all this? You're just a poor imitator. Move aside; I don't want to fight with a young girl."

After saying that, Doctor Octopus was about to leave, but SpiderGwen, full of indignation, said, "I'm not an imitator! I am Spider-Man! My combat suit and spider web are the results of my own research. I'm also a top researcher in New York. What gives you the right to..."

"Then I can only say that the person wanting to destroy New York isn't me, but you," Doctor Octopus interrupted, taunting her as he walked away. "If today's top researchers are at your level, I might as well never leave the solar system in my lifetime..."

"Don't go! Come back! I don't believe your nonsense! What alloy spider web, living spider web? Unless I see it with my own eyes... don't run away!"

In Stark Tower, Peter shielded his eyes with his hand, looking left and right. He said, "Where's SpiderGwen? My goodness, I hope she doesn't get into a fight with Dr. Otto; she might get killed!"

"Dr. Otto's tentacles are made of Molten Steel, and they're already in the 17th generation. If she gets hit... Where are they?"

"Oh my god, what is that?!" Peter shouted in shock. "That giant lizard... it can't be one of the robots we released, can it? Pikachu! Pikachu, can you hear me?! Did we make a Lizard Man robot?... No?"

"Dr. Connors! Dr. Connors! Stop it! Don't fight!"

Peter immediately swung on his spider web towards the huge lizard monster. Before he even got close, he heard Dr. Connors's angry roar:

"Spider-Man!"

During the middle of the day, why aren't you staying in the laboratory and wandering around the streets like this? My laboratory's walls have been hit with over fifty spider webs in the last two hours! Even the windows are covered! What are you doing?!

Peter widened his eyes, while Amazing Spider-Man, who was desperately running away from the giant lizard monster chasing him, shouted even more desperately:

"What's going on?! This Space's Lizard Man! Why is it so huge?!"

As he ran and glanced back at the Lizard, he realized that this Lizard was vastly different from the one he had encountered in his world. The Lizard he had seen was only around two meters tall and weighed just over 200 kilograms. While it was undoubtedly stronger than Spider-Man, it still somewhat resembled a humanoid.

Now, the Lizard chasing him was nearly ten meters tall, resembling Godzilla, with its massive shadow covering half a street.

"Doctor! Calm down!" Amazing Spider-Man tried to persuade him, as in his Space, the Lizard would revert to being human later. It only transformed into a lizard when emotionally charged. So, Spider-Man's approach had always been to calm him down. As long as the doctor could revert to human form, the battle would end.

"Swish!" Suddenly, a tail whipped toward him. Amazing Spider-Man leaped away to avoid it, but when he turned around, he found himself facing a pair of enormous, enraged eyes. Amazing Spider-Man took two steps back, extending his hands and saying, "Doctor, please, calm down!"

Realizing that his attempt at consoling had no effect whatsoever, Amazing Spider-Man contemplated how to deal with this enormous monster. Just then, another voice reached their ears:

"Doctor! Doctor, look at me! I can explain! I wasn't wandering the streets; both of us... you can understand it as clones! I've been in the laboratory conducting experiments diligently. The experiment from two days ago will yield results tonight..."

Lizard turned his head to look at the figure suspended in mid-air and halted. He squinted his eyes and asked, "Spider-Man? Are you Spider-Man? Then is he your imitator?"

"I told you, Spider-Man, you shouldn't be wandering the streets every day, creating so many imitators. You've turned New York into a mess! You shouldn't ruin the cityscape, littering spider webs everywhere. Even if they are biodegradable, they cause a lot of trouble for the workers cleaning the glass facades. This is not right..."

Peter hung from a spider web on the wall, just at Lizard's eye level. He listened to the scolding but didn't pay it much attention. At this moment, Amazing Spider-Man rushed over, trying to pull Peter away. He shouted, "Quick, let's go! He wants to eat you!"

Peter pushed him away and said, "Don't be ridiculous. There's no way the doctor would eat me."

At that moment, Lizard brought his head close, trying to distinguish the differences between the two of them. Amazing Spider-Man retreated, but with a glass facade behind him, he ended up sticking to it like a pancake. He trembled slightly as he turned his head to Peter and said, "Are you sure? I can see his teeth..."

Peter casually waved his hand, then jumped onto Lizard's shoulder and turned back to signal Amazing Spider-Man, "Come up here quickly; let's head back to the laboratory."

Amazing Spider-Man stood still, swallowed hard, and shook his head, saying, "No, I'll find my own way..."

Half an hour later, a dejected Peter appeared at the Avengers' base. Pikachu hopped onto the table and asked, "What happened? Did you get scolded again?"

Peter sighed deeply and replied, "Dr. Otto and Dr. Connors scolded me together. They said it's unbelievable that there are so many Spider-Men, yet I didn't inform them, delaying their experiments... Now, most of the Spider-Men are captured and taken to the laboratory. Our plan to attract media attention using Spider-Man and the artificial villains has failed."

Peter rubbed his temples and continued, "But the public opinion war against mutants is ongoing. They are constantly looking for ways to discredit mutants. I suspect they might be waiting for a major accident. Once that happens, they'll launch a full-scale media campaign."

Pikachu asked, "Did you ask how the mutants plan to respond?"

A long-time book recommendation from a friend I've known for ten years gave me an idea. "@

"What did you say?? You want me to become the director of S.H.I.E.L.D.?!"
