After sending out the drones, Sun Cheng entrusted the task of finding Optimus Prime to his chief intelligence officer, Mora.

However, he didn't sit idle. Anticipating a potential war on Earth, he felt it was necessary to make preparations in advance.

So, in the days following his return from the Mars base, he conducted inspections at various munitions factories controlled within Base Two's territory, overseeing the production of various military supplies.

With the continuous development of Base Two, more than half of the countries in South America had already fallen under Sun Cheng's control.

He had never used force to seize control; in this land with no future, Sun Cheng had numerous methods to gradually gain control.

One of the methods consistently used by Base Two was rather straightforward.

Mora dispatched some humanoid Decepticons to replace important politicians, capital magnates, and military personnel in the target countries.

Then, Base Two sent Decepticons to secretly establish contact with the high-ranking officials of those countries' governments, reaching certain agreements in secret.

Subsequently, Base Two would buy up high-value but remote or difficult-to-develop mineral deposits in that country, while also purchasing a large quantity of cheap industrial products and essential goods from the Far East, stabilizing the country's prices.

Supplemented with some threats, military and equipment support, they gradually gained control over the military, politics, and business sectors of the target countries.

Once these were secured, the ordinary citizens of South America were the easiest to manipulate.

Sun Cheng was a fan of the "raising pigs" policy, which involved lowering the cost of living essentials while increasing welfare benefits to enhance happiness. Additionally, Base Two had a large number of shell corporations within South America, providing high incomes and ample opportunities for many so-called elite individuals.

With a series of measures in place, most of the countries in South America had now fallen under the control of Base Two.

Of course, South America had long been considered the backyard of the United States, and these changes did not escape the watchful eyes of the United States, especially the CIA.

Over the past few years, Base Two had clashed with the Americans in South America on more than a hundred occasions. They had killed or captured nearly six or seven hundred CIA spies, inflicting heavy losses on them while also achieving some significant accomplishments.

For instance, there was still a considerable amount of opposition and resistance within South America.

But Mora dealt with them just as ruthlessly. Those who were most vocal in their opposition were assassinated directly, and those actively inciting rebellion were kidnapped and sent to Hades for research materials.

At this point, most of the countries in South America had become puppets of the extraterrestrials and had become an unspoken agreement among the various nations on Earth. Even many international meetings had gradually excluded them.

However, this did not affect Sun Cheng and Base Two's control over the region. After gaining control of most of South America, the base's internal management divided the entire continent into 100 different regions on the map, each assigned to a different Decepticon for administration.

One of these regions was Tristan da Cunha Islands, which served as the base's Black Market for external trade and was managed by Forerunner. It brought in nearly a quarter of the base's mineral and precious rare earth resources every month.

And where Sun Cheng currently resided was Zone 74, located in the central-southern part of South America.

The Decepticon engineers of Base Two discovered that the terrain in Zone 74 was extremely hard. As a result, they excavated and hollowed out some of the mountains in the area, constructing high-level munitions factories specifically for producing special cannonballs and various models of missiles for the base.

"Commander-in-chief, according to the instructions from the base, we are no longer restricting production efficiency. We have already started producing various cannonballs and missiles at full capacity for the base!" reported the Decepticon engineer in charge of the munitions factories as soon as Sun Cheng arrived for inspection.

"At present, in this facility, we have a total of 11 different production lines. With an ample supply of raw materials, we can produce 1,724 cannonballs, 344 miniature combat missiles for Decepticons, 127 short-range ground-to-air and anti-ship missiles, and 14 various Intermediate-Range Missiles every 24 hours!"

Zone 74's munitions factories were designed for expanded capacity and produced conventional cannonballs and missiles.

Similar munitions factories existed in Zone 17 and Zone 86. With the impending threat of war, Sun Cheng and his team were concerned about potential targeted attacks, so they had strategically distributed these factories.

More advanced weaponry, such as Electromagnetic Pulse Bombs, nuclear warheads, and more specialized devices like temperature differential bombs, cloud-burst bombs, and subterranean drilling missiles, were produced in the core regions of Base Two.

Satisfied after a tour of the munitions factories led by the Decepticon engineers, Sun Cheng ordered, "Take me to the Ammunition Storage Depot."

With the Sentinal Prime's operations in Africa, the impending war had cast an increasingly ominous shadow over Earth.

Sun Cheng needed to ensure that Base Two was prepared for the war. The munitions factories under base control were now in full production mode, manufacturing various combat robots and weapons.

In the upcoming war, he needed to ensure that they were not at a disadvantage.

"Yes, Commander!" The Decepticon engineer known as Nohr led Sun Cheng deeper into the mountain and into a higher-security area.

After passing through several security doors, they finally arrived at a massive underground chamber.

In this vast space, rows of cannonballs were neatly arranged on specially designed racks, maintained and managed by robots dedicated to this task.

Sun Cheng's eyes emitted two blue beams as he briefly checked the temperature inside the Ammunition Storage Depot. Satisfied, he nodded without saying anything.

The temperature here was maintained at around 18 degrees Celsius, slightly oxygen-deficient, making it suitable for long-term storage of cannonballs.

They then visited the missile storage Ammunition Depot, where everything, from the environment to security and internal and external protection, seemed flawless.

Seeing no issues, Sun Cheng was relatively content.

Since everything seemed fine here, after giving a few brief instructions, he prepared to leave and continue inspecting other areas to ensure they were not caught off guard when the war arrived.

However, just as Sun Cheng was about to depart, a Decepticon quickly emerged from the Control Center of Zone 74.

"Commander-in-chief, we have just received an urgent communication from the central control base. Please review it as soon as possible!"

The Decepticon technician lifted his head, and at that moment, two beams of light shot from his eyes, immediately forming a virtual light wall in front of Sun Cheng.

On the light wall, encrypted information appeared.

After scanning it, Core quickly deciphered it.

The urgent communication came from his Chief Intelligence Officer, Mora, and the content left him very satisfied.

"The drones have found Autobots and Optimus Prime. Optimus Prime has requested a meeting with him!"

"It's game on! This young Autobot leader is not going to sit idly by and let Sentinal Prime do as he pleases!"

With renewed determination, Sun Cheng decided to temporarily suspend his upcoming inspections. He needed to prepare thoroughly for the meeting with the young Autobot leader that was about to take place.
