"Frenzy... that damned crawler!"

Megatron's fury was so terrifying that even Starscream instinctively shrank back. Despite knowing better than anyone else, the current Megatron was unprecedentedly weakened.

"My great master, according to the available intelligence, Frenzy has long since betrayed you and the Skytiger Legion..."

Starscream was indifferent to betrayal; conspiracies had been etched into his Spark long ago. So even though he had cooperated with Frenzy in the past and both had gained what they desired, he didn't mind turning on him.

"There is intelligence that Frenzy, together with Onslaught and an ancient Pathfinder named Skyfire, have joined forces. They have openly established their own power on Earth in your absence!"

Starscream knew Megatron too well. The tyrannical overlord couldn't tolerate anyone questioning his supreme status within the Skytiger Legion. With just a few words, Starscream managed to incite Megatron, who was now submerged in a special solution, leaving only his head, into a furious outburst.

"That cursed crawler..."

Of course, Megatron didn't entirely believe Starscream's words. Soundwave had disappeared long before his awakening. When it came to the enmity between Starscream and Soundwave, no Decepticon understood it better than Megatron.

Therefore, until Shockwave arrived, or until his new mechanical body was complete, Megatron had to temporarily suppress his doubts about Soundwave's disappearance. Starscream's chosen excuse, however, hit a sore spot in his heart.

Megatron's ascent to being seen as a tyrant and dictator among Cybertronians was not without reason. The early days of Cybertronian civilization were filled with hardships. Before the Quintesson colonization of Cybertron, Cybertronians were in a relatively primitive and chaotic state.

They believed in the legends of the thirteen Primus beings who had once saved Cybertron and the universe. However, these thirteen Primus beings, apart from leaving behind some relics, had provided little protection for the early Cybertronian civilization.

Ancient Cybertron was a brutal world for Cybertronians, with other races like the Giant Fierce Beasts, Predacons, and others, who possessed more powerful forms, wreaking havoc and posing a constant threat to Cybertronians' lives.

Later, the colonizers from Quintesson discovered the still-primitive Cybertron Planet. Their ruler, the Five-Faced Monster, out of curiosity about the Cybertronians, sent numerous researchers to establish countless research centers and institutions on Cybertron Planet. They cruelly dispatched armies to capture more Cybertronians, transporting those in their primitive stages to various terrifying research facilities.

Megatron was one of the Cybertronians born in the research facilities of the Five-Faced Monster. He wasn't a naturally conceived life but rather a specially cultivated Cybertronian created in the laboratories of the Five-Faced Monster. Therefore, from the moment his consciousness emerged, a wealth of experiences related to killing and combat had already been implanted in Megatron's mind by the Five-Faced Monsters.

In those chaotic times, there were many such special Cybertronians born in the Five-Faced Monster's research facilities.

The Quintesson species, originating from the Five-Faced Monster, first emerged on a planet known as Quintessa, resembling Cybertron in its metallic nature. While their forms and rituals greatly differed from the Cybertronians, tracing their origins, they shared a common essence as silicon-based life forms.

As a colonial race, the Quintessons, under the rule of the Five-Faced Monster, relentlessly expanded their dominion throughout the cosmos. They greedily seized any planets they encountered, even waging wars against any civilizations in their way.

In their peak, Quintessons simultaneously engaged in conflicts with numerous cosmic civilizations, necessitating a constant influx of troops. The Five-Faced Monster's innovation involved transforming ordinary Cybertronians into highly aggressive soldiers, tapping into their reserves.

Yet, the Quintesson rise was rooted in colonial plunder, and their decline followed the same path. Engaging in wars with multiple cosmic civilizations, even the mighty Quintessons under the Five-Faced Monster began to falter.

In order to replenish their frontline losses in troops and resources, they ruthlessly exploited various colonial planets, with Cybertron also falling among the exploited colonies. The atrocities committed by the Five-Faced Monster and the Quintessons eventually ignited the flames of resistance in the hearts of the Cybertronians.

Led by the descendants of Primus, who claimed to be the First of the Thirteen Primes, the Cybertronians launched a rebellion, launching large-scale attacks on Five-Faced Monster research centers and Quintesson-established mines and factories on Cybertron Planet.

Just as the Five-Faced Monster prepared to assemble troops to suppress the Cybertronian uprising, the terrifying Cosmic Rust struck. Quintessons, like Cybertronians, were silicon-based life forms born on metallic planets. Despite their once more powerful bodies compared to Carbon-Based Life, they became the most delectable feast for the Rust Virus.

The horrifying Cosmic Rust swiftly overcame the Quintessons, who had been simultaneously waging wars with multiple cosmic civilizations. Under the triple onslaught of war, oppression, and Cosmic Rust, the colonial planets under Quintesson control rose in rebellion.

Due to the shortage of troops, the Five-Faced Monster began deploying incomplete, specialized Cybertronian soldiers in their military operations to suppress the Cybertronians. Unfortunately, even after paying a tremendous price, they could not quell the awakened Cybertronians.

In the end, the Five-Faced Monster was forced to flee from Cybertron Planet. After the war, the specialized Cybertronian soldiers bred in their laboratories faced retribution from the Cybertronians. Some, whose self-consciousness had been entirely erased in experiments, had become mindless killing machines and were all executed.

Those like Megatron, who retained some degree of self-awareness and were not involved in suppressing the uprising, were considered in need of redemption by the Cybertronparliament established after the rebellion. They were all shipped off to various mines and factories.

Up until the Council of Primes era, Megatron had spent time in many mines and factories on Cybertron Planet. Due to the abuse he endured, his physique grew stronger than the other slaves over time, and his character became more resilient.

Repeated acts of rebellion led to Megatron being sold by his nominal owner, a Cybertronian noble, to an arena. Threatened by clubs and weapons, he was forced to engage in life-or-death battles with the Giant Fierce Beasts and Predacons captured from the dangerous wilds of Cybertron Planet, becoming a mere plaything for the amusement of the nobility.
