Transformers Begin : Table of Content/Chapter List

"Think it, then do it." This had always been Sun Cheng's consistent approach in the Transformers Universe.

Building on the foundation of the Hunter Civilization Spaceship he had obtained earlier and utilizing some of the technology from Cybertron Spaceships, Sun Cheng immediately set to work on the concept of creating a small-sized Spaceship. Using the immense computing power of Frenzy's Body, he began designing the Spaceship within his own Core.

Many of the technologies were readily available for use, and Sun Cheng had no high demands in terms of technology or tonnage for this experimental Spaceship.

Even with his current understanding of aerospace and propulsion systems, designing a blueprint for a Spaceship wasn't too challenging.

Whether it was the Hunter Civilization or the Cybertron Civilization, Spaceships used for interstellar travel typically had a sleek, streamlined design. This design had gained recognition from scientists of both civilizations.

Therefore, for the small-sized Spaceship he was designing, Sun Cheng also opted for the sleek and streamlined design.

He shaped the Spaceship like an isosceles right triangle when viewed from above.

Spaceship dimensions: Length - 24.55 meters, Wingspan - 29.82 meters, Height - 12.90 meters. The design empty weight of the Spaceship fell between 60 and 80 tons, with a maximum takeoff weight of around 120 tons.

It wasn't meant to be a cargo Spaceship, as Sun Cheng had better options for that purpose.

The main materials for the Spaceship's hull included titanium-aluminum-manganese alloys and chrome alloys, among a dozen other metallic materials, all personally welded by Decepticon engineers. This not only significantly reduced weight but also greatly improved heat resistance.

In terms of propulsion systems, Sun Cheng intended to use an upgraded version of the engine that his Decepticon engineers had previously applied to the Hunter Civilization's small Spaceship. Given the disparities between the Hunter Civilization and Cybertron in terms of production processes and design, the upgraded engine was much more powerful and capable of providing ample thrust for a small Spaceship weighing around a hundred tons.

Considering that this experimental Spaceship would need to make repeated trips between Earth and Mars for testing, Sun Cheng planned to increase the number of engines from one to four.

The power system, designed by Decepticon engineers, did not rely on traditional chemical combustion or even nuclear energy; instead, it used a highly pure energy liquid that took up minimal space.

In theory, these designs could enable Sun Cheng's small Spaceship, which still lacked an official name, to reach speeds of up to 240 kilometers per second. This meant it could travel from Earth to Mars in approximately nineteen days.

With his Frenzy's Body Core operating at full capacity, Sun Cheng took less than three days to design the entire blueprint of the Spaceship from the inside out. Subsequently, he spent nearly a week making continuous revisions. When the design was finalized, the Spaceship had at least over a million components.

While it might seem overwhelming, Base Two's manufacturing capabilities could assemble it in as little as two weeks.

This was the first time Sun Cheng had wholeheartedly immersed himself in something since discovering his ability to traverse the Transformers Universe. Although he had spent time in the laboratory in the past, his efforts had never exceeded three days, and most of them were driven by a strong sense of utility.

This time was different. It was purely driven by a sudden idea, and perhaps for this reason, Sun Cheng experienced the joy of the technological development process for the first time and would forever treasure the beauty of that delight.

Finalizing the design of the Spaceship did not mean it could be immediately used.

Sun Cheng lacked extensive experience in aerospace, and Shockwave, in fields such as space, molecular/atomic, and long-distance transmission, had gone much further than his teacher, Skyfire. Of course, Sun Cheng was far from being as versatile as Shockwave in many other areas.

After bundling all the design data for the Spaceship, Sun Cheng made a special trip back to Base Two. He made three copies and handed them over to Atlas, Phantom, and Explorer 203, each tasked with their own modifications and refinements.

From the very beginning, Sun Cheng had never believed that he had designed the Spaceship perfectly, nor did he possess such a strong self-consciousness that others could not make changes to his design blueprints.

However, for this experimental Spaceship, Sun Cheng had indeed invested too much.

During this period, he had been researching the Spaceship at the sub-base on Terindad Island.

During the continuous design and improvement process, Sun Cheng, originally focused on verifying certain technologies, suddenly conceived even more applications for this Spaceship.

Cybertronians could endure extreme temperatures and harsh cold due to their mechanical bodies, which meant that interplanetary travel would consume a significant amount of energy. However, if they didn't concern themselves with energy consumption, their mechanical bodies alone could facilitate interplanetary travel.

Sun Cheng's current mechanical body was capable of leaving Earth; shortly after acquiring this new mechanical body, he had experimented with transforming into an Su-27 form and flying directly into outer space.

According to his assessment at that time, he could use his current mechanical body to travel back and forth between Earth and the moon. However, with his current speed, it would take around four days of continuous flight to reach the moon.

As for the journey from Earth to Mars, the time and energy required would deplete Sun Cheng's mechanical body.

Initially, he had planned to wait until Base Two had constructed at least one Explorer-class Spaceship before commencing the development of Mars. Even more than half a month ago, when Sun Cheng had the sudden urge to design and develop a small-scale cosmic Spaceship himself, he hadn't initially considered the broader possibilities.

However, during this past half-month of continuously modifying and perfecting the design data for this Spaceship, he began to reconsider.

"...Sometimes I can be a fool. Why did I fixate on the Explorer-class? While medium-sized transport Spaceships are indeed important and necessary for production, I can use the small Spaceship I'm designing to transport myself and a few engineers to Mars first, establishing a foothold there..."

Several months ago, when Lord Fallen led the Decepticons in their audacious exposure to the nations of Earth and subsequently decimated the second and fifth fleets of the United States, the most formidable country in the world, it had become evident to most nations and organizations on Earth just how terrifying these extraterrestrial beings were.

As a result, ever since then, countries all over the world had been searching for extraterrestrials.

In the three-plus months since the battles between the Decepticons and Autobots in Jordan and Egypt had concluded, Earth had launched over fifty satellites. It was important to note that satellite launches carried significant risks, and apart from a few countries like the United States, China, and Russia, most nations didn't launch satellites for years.

The exceptionally high launch frequency, especially from two East Asian countries and one South Asian country, who, despite suffering several satellite explosions, continued launching, indicated just how urgently they sought to find extraterrestrial life on Earth.

In the southern United States, controlled by Base Two, foreign espionage and special agent activities had been increasingly detected in the past few months, and the scale of these activities was growing daily.

Sun Cheng had a grim suspicion that perhaps due to the extensive actions of Base Two in recent years, combined with the exposure of extraterrestrials, this place had attracted the attention of various national powers.

Therefore, exploring Mars and establishing a secure rear base there had become his top priority...
