Sun Cheng, in control of this Decepticon mechanical body, approached Optimus Prime and his group. This was a newfound ability he had only recently acquired.

All along, Sun Cheng had been pondering a question: how had he ended up in the world of the Transformers Universe? There had to be a rational explanation. Alongside this question, he had unearthed numerous other mysteries.

For instance, how had the Spherical Space within him manifested, and why could it expand through absorbing energy and specific substances? Furthermore, how had Sun Cheng formed a connection with the mechanical bodies of this world? If it was consciousness that linked him to Mirage's Body, why hadn't there been any issues when he changed mechanical bodies previously?

These questions continued to trouble Sun Cheng, and they had become one of his pastimes in this world. Up to this point, his research progress on these matters remained limited.

Over the past year or so, Sun Cheng's only substantial discovery was that his consciousness did not rely on a single mechanical body. He could switch between multiple mechanical bodies, and even when one was destroyed, as long as there was another compatible mechanical body prepared within a certain range, his consciousness could immediately transfer to that new body. However, it seemed that during the transmission of his consciousness, some data was lost for reasons unknown.

This had been Sun Cheng's real trump card when facing Lord Fallen not long ago. At that time, he had already hidden a mechanical body near the unnamed pyramid on Terindad Island to facilitate the transfer of his consciousness in case of extreme danger.

The Decepticon now standing before Optimus Prime and the others was the result of Sun Cheng deeply developing this newfound ability. Cybertronians, these mechanical life forms, possessed the unique ability to resurrect as long as their memory core was not completely destroyed. They could switch to a new mechanical body and be reactivated with their Spark.

During his recent idle time on Terindad Island, Sun Cheng had come up with quite a few ideas. The Decepticon mechanical body he now inhabited was the one he had briefly retrieved from his lab on a previous visit to Base Two, after making some simple modifications and conducting experiments on it.

Strictly speaking, the entity meeting Optimus Prime here was not Sun Cheng but rather his Decepticon mechanical body. It possessed most of Sun Cheng's memories but lacked independent thinking capability. All of its decisions were temporarily pending data transmission from Sun Cheng on Terindad Island, handled by a satellite, causing a brief delay in logical reasoning.

Nevertheless, this delay was entirely tolerable, as it did not exceed ten seconds and felt like ordinary thought processing.

Although the memory core of this Decepticon mechanical body did not contain any memories from another world, Sun Cheng had taken extensive measures to ensure it could not fall into the hands of others. If activated, the memory core, along with the mechanical body, would be reduced to ashes.

"Decepticon!" Drift's gaze sharpened as he laid eyes on Sun Cheng. He, like Sideswipe, had defected from the Decepticon camp to the Autobots. Drift, once a valiant Decepticon senior warrior with unwavering determination, had failed a mission because he refused to harm Autobot civilians due to his own ethical boundaries.

Afterward, he was forcibly taken to the Constabulary and imprisoned for a while before being sent to Shockwave's laboratory for punitive modification.

At that time, Shockwave had developed a strong interest in super warriors capable of having multiple transformation forms simultaneously.

His laboratory frequently required test subjects to assist in his cruel experiments, and most of these subjects were sourced from Decepticon political prisoners.

Drift, in a sense, was both unlucky and fortunate. He was unlucky because, at that time, the prison could no longer provide Shockwave with more test subjects, so Shockwave had to seek them elsewhere. Fortunate because Drift survived the extraordinarily high mortality rate of the modification experiments and was successfully transformed into a formidable triple-changer.

It was this very experience that led Drift to defect to the Autobots' camp shortly after. Unlike Sideswipe, who had faced hostility from the Autobots back then, Drift's defection brought the Autobots the technology of triple-changers. Therefore, the Autobots' leader at the time, Sentinel Prime, granted him high regard.

However, it was also Drift's defection that led to the total annihilation of all his family and friends by the Skytiger Legion.

Thus, a deep-seated enmity was formed between the two sides.

Sun Cheng sensed Drift's hostility, but he merely glanced at him before shifting his gaze to Optimus Prime. He bowed slightly to show his respect to the young Autobots leader, who had not only come back from the dead but had also possibly eliminated a mortal enemy for him.

"Lord Optimus Prime, I hope you are well. I apologize for this uninvited visit. I primarily wish to confirm something with you and perhaps discuss a business transaction with the Autobots."

The presence of a dozen Autobots spectators had no impact on Sun Cheng. He continued in a calm and unhurried manner.

Jack gave Drift a tug and he furrowed his brow but remained silent. Although he could tell that something was amiss with Sun Cheng's current state, Optimus Prime did not show it.

Autobots and Decepticons had been enemies for millions of years, and mutual wariness was not unusual.

However, Optimus Prime's attitude toward Sun Cheng had improved somewhat. Having lived through the Civil War and recently experiencing the awakening of his past life's memories while in a state of death, the young leader who already detested war was now more inclined to see the Decepticons, his old adversaries, fractured due to internal strife.

His tone softened slightly as he replied, "As long as it doesn't involve the Autobots' secrets."

"Of course!" Sun Cheng's remote control couldn't make the Decepticon mechanical body's expression more varied, but it didn't hinder his question. "Earth is our recognized New Home, and we want to start anew here. So, some time ago, we located Lord Fallen's Stellar Extraction Tower and destroyed this superweapon he was building."

"My comrades and I have greatly offended Lord Fallen, as you must be aware, Lord Optimus Prime. Therefore, I'd like to verify with you if Lord Fallen has been completely destroyed."

Strictly speaking, these were two questions. Lord Fallen's death didn't necessarily mean true death, as ordinary cybertronians could be awakened again, let alone someone like him, a Primus.

Sun Cheng didn't forget that when he had tracked the Leadership Module all the way to the Nameless Temple within Jordan's borders, he had come perilously close to death.
