After gazing into the depths of the tunnel for a while, Sun Cheng suddenly turned to the Decepticon engineer beside him and inquired, "If the tunnel's bottom is breached, would magma pour in?"

Although Terindad Island was not large, its location and topography were favorable, making it suitable as a material transit station. It would be a pity to abandon it.

"The likelihood is extremely low. In reality, the end of the tunnel does not directly border the magma. There should be a gap below, and the exact distance from the magma would need to be measured to confirm. Based on geological data from Humans on Earth, as long as the underwater volcano beneath the island doesn't erupt, it's highly improbable for magma to pour into the tunnel," the Decepticon engineer explained.

"That's reassuring," Sun Cheng nodded in satisfaction.

His mechanical body had been fully repaired when he returned to Base Two not long ago. Its surface had also been coated with a special layer that could withstand temperatures exceeding four to five thousand degrees in a short period.

Looking at the depths of the tunnel, Sun Cheng was eager to explore.

Addressing Forerunner and Thunder, he said, "I'll go down first to take a look. Swindle's mechanical body can't withstand the high temperatures of magma, and you two won't last long either, so stay up here."

Swindle nodded in a hurry. He had been tricked by Starscream, and this mechanical body was only slightly stronger than an ordinary Decepticon cannon fodder, primarily composed of steel with a low melting point.

As for Forerunner and Thunder, they would not disobey Sun Cheng's orders.

After giving instructions, Sun Cheng looked at the tunnel once more and, without hesitation, jumped down.

Calculating his descent speed, when he was only a few meters from the bottom, several jet nozzles on his feet and the lower part of his legs simultaneously ejected, allowing him to land smoothly on the tunnel's bottom, shrouded in a faint white mist.

"The temperature is 127 degrees!" Sun Cheng silently measured the temperature and then emitted two probing beams from his eyes.

After scanning the ground for a few seconds, he flew up a bit and then fired a combat missile towards the tunnel's bottom.

"Boom!"

The missile, not very powerful, exploded upon impact, creating a not-so-deep crater in the tunnel's floor.

Then came the second, the third, and the fourth missiles. Under the successive bombardment of these four combat missiles, the several meters-thick hard rock formation at the tunnel's bottom was finally pierced.

Instantly, a scorching heat engulfed him, and the orange-red light made Sun Cheng squint his eyes slightly.

The engineer's explanation had been correct; the tunnel's bottom did not directly contact the underwater magma. There was a gap of thirty to forty meters between the two.

After penetrating the tunnel's bottom, Sun Cheng floated into the underground space.

Looking at the terrifying magma below, he admitted to himself that he felt a momentary fear. It was the kind of fear unique to Humans when faced with the unknown. However, Sun Cheng knew that as long as he didn't stay in the magma for an extended period, its temperature wouldn't cause him much harm, and that fear gradually subsided.

It was evident that the underground magma space was located inside an underwater volcano.

This aligned with the formation of Terindad Island, which was originally a volcanic island. The island's bottom was connected to an underwater volcano, which was quite ordinary.

Using his search abilities to the fullest, Sun Cheng attempted to locate an unknown item that might be hidden by the Beast General within the magma.

However, he was quickly disappointed. Although the magma in the underwater volcano space wasn't particularly active, there were no signs of eruption. Yet, magma was inherently a high-energy aggregate, and it exhibited excellent isolation properties against the electromagnetic waves emitted by Sun Cheng's probing.

"It seems I'll have to go down and look for it," Sun Cheng mumbled to himself. Taking a deep breath, he plunged into the viscous, orange-red magma.

As he plunged into the magma, the warning system within Core began to go haywire. Clearly, the temperature of over a thousand degrees was putting a significant strain on Sun Cheng's mechanical body.

"What a curious sensation!" Sun Cheng paid no heed to Core's warnings. He was deeply intrigued by the magma and his actions within it.

The feeling was incredibly unique, difficult to describe—it was as if one were swimming in a pool filled with ice and ice blocks that had already started freezing over.

Sun Cheng could distinctly sense the resistance generated by the friction between the magma and his mechanical body as he moved. It was a sensation entirely different from being in water.

Even though his mechanical body could not remain in the magma for too long, Sun Cheng was well aware of that fact. After briefly reflecting on the wondrous experience of being in the magma, he refocused his mind and began searching intensely within the molten rock.

Regarding the Beast General, and whether they had hidden the unknown item in the magma, Sun Cheng couldn't be certain. In fact, he couldn't even confirm whether Terindad Island was the island where the Beast General had concealed the item.

In the recent past, during the struggle for the Leadership Module, Sun Cheng had been forced out. While he had managed to acquire Lord Fallen's weapon, the Requiem Blaster, in the end, it had become a cursed weapon, barely yielding any gains.

This was why he had come to Terindad Island after leaving Africa.

Facing the sudden concealment of the Skytiger Legion and the Autobots' increased strength after gaining control of the Leadership Module, Sun Cheng couldn't afford to let his guard down.

"I hope there's something to be found here!" Sun Cheng consoled himself inwardly as he started searching within the magma.

His progress was swift, but due to the aimless nature of his exploration, after a little over an hour, the increasingly frequent warnings made Sun Cheng aware that the special coating on his mechanical body's surface was starting to have problems.

Reluctantly, he emerged from the magma and returned to the entrance of the tunnel, following the coordinates he had left earlier.

Gazing down at the orange-red magma below, Sun Cheng wore a troubled expression. Setting aside whether the Beast General had hidden the unknown item here or not, even if they had, it would be extremely challenging for Sun Cheng to locate it now.

Underwater magma was not dormant; it flowed and moved, making it exceptionally difficult to search through. It was possible that it might take hundreds or even thousands of years to find anything.

"This is troublesome!" Sun Cheng couldn't help but feel disheartened. Bending down to look at the magma below, he suddenly thought of the sun.

With a thought, he conjured a silver-gray spear, over eight meters in length, in his hand. It was none other than Lord Fallen's former weapon—the Requiem Blaster.

As for the thing the Beast General had mentioned, Sun Cheng had no clues at the moment. However, as he had observed the magma just now, he suddenly felt that this place bore some resemblance to the surface of a star. This led him to think of his Artifact—Requiem Blaster, which had the ability to draw energy from stars. Although the cursed Requiem Blaster could no longer utilize that power, Sun Cheng realized he hadn't thoroughly tested the remaining capabilities of the Artifact since obtaining it.

So, he retrieved it from his Spherical Space, ready to expend a little energy and give it a proper try.

Then, something incredible happened.

As soon as Sun Cheng took the Requiem Blaster out of the Spherical Space and held it in his hand, the Artifact suddenly began to shake violently, as if it had sensed something.
