"Cybertron Technology Group? Sun Cheng?"

Liu Zhen muttered, feeling somewhat familiar.

But because he had to deal with so many documents and information on a daily basis, he couldn't remember where he had seen these words for a moment.

On the other hand, Wu Qingyuan, who was beside him, had a sudden change of expression when he saw the words "Cybertron Technology Group" and "Sun Cheng".

He glanced at the other bosses around him and found that they were all deep in thought.

It was the technical personnel from the network science field who were watching from the side that had a sudden realization. It was clear that these elites who were frequently involved with the internet and networks knew about this group and its leader that had recently stirred up the domestic internet scene.

Wu Qingyuan quickly took a couple of steps to Liu Zhen's side and whispered a brief introduction about "Cybertron Technology Group" and "Sun Cheng". Finally, the head of the National Security Bureau also understood why these words seemed so familiar.

"So, it's him!"

With a thought, Liu Zhen immediately remembered a case that the National Security Bureau had been investigating recently. "Last month, the incident targeting CIA agents in South Capital, was that your doing?"

The dialogue box on the screen did not disappoint him, as there was an immediate response.

"It was just a small warning. The CIA has been tracking and investigating several members of the [P·C·F] and has even resorted to extremely aggressive methods, threatening and kidnapping several of our members to work in United States' confidential laboratories. This has seriously endangered the personal safety of [P·C·F] members!"

Naturally, Liu Zhen and his team couldn't completely believe these words, but they were somewhat relieved.

Last month, a criminal case had occurred in South Capital under mysterious circumstances. During the investigation, the police not only discovered that the victim had received military training, but also found some credentials related to agents.

As a result, this significant case with serious implications was handed over to the National Security Bureau.

Even the blame for it had been shifted onto them.

Unfortunately, after a month of investigation, the National Security Bureau had only just begun to uncover some leads.

Now, at least they knew who was responsible for the case, which brought some consolation.

But taking the blame for others was not a pleasant experience.

Liu Zhen's tone turned cold as he sarcastically said, "...You guys sure follow the rules, causing us quite a bit of trouble!"

"So, we've come today with apologies and to discuss a major business deal with our motherland!"

Liu Zhen raised an eyebrow, about to speak, when another message appeared on the screen above the window.

"The USB drive we left behind, I'm sure your bureau has already discovered it. We haven't encrypted that USB drive in any way. Your technical personnel just need to open it, and they'll feel our sincerity!"

Liu Zhen was a bit surprised, "What's inside?"

"Some data, some information we believe our motherland would be very interested in! For example, details about the two main fighter jet series currently used by the Soviet Union, the MiG-29 series and the Su-27 series! If you're interested, we can provide even more information!"

"What?"

As this conversation unfolded, not only Liu Zhen's expression changed dramatically, but also the faces of all the high-ranking officials from the National Security Bureau who were present in the data center.

Since the Xinhai Revolution, the relationship between China and the Soviet Union had been delicate. Especially considering China's participation in the blockade of Soviet Russia in order to obtain military and industrial technology support from the Allied Powers. Combined with a series of historical legacy issues, China and the Soviet Union had deployed border defense along their thousands of kilometers of shared borders.

So, it was quite unexpected to suddenly be told that someone was gifting China with information about two of the Soviet Union's main fighter jets.

Even though the MiG-29 and Su-27 series were no longer the best air combat weapons for the Soviet Union, this news still excited Liu Zhen and his team.

After all, despite the Soviet Union's multiple reforms since the late 1980s, which narrowly averted Western efforts to topple it in the early 1990s, the nation had paid a significant price to survive.

Aside from losing some of its member states, the Soviet Union had struggled economically for the past two to three decades, with arms trade, energy, and heavy machinery exports being its only significant pillars.

Although the economically burdened Soviet Union had claimed to have developed a new fifth-generation fighter similar to the United States' F-22 since the late 20th century, the terms "4.5th generation fighter" and "4.75th generation fighter" had also emerged from Soviet Union's side.

However, just by looking at the current state of their air force equipment, one could gauge how dire the Soviet Union's economy had become. Most of their operational aircraft were still from the old Su-27 series.

Even though the MiG-29 had only seen limited service within the Soviet Union, it had been one of the main export models. China was more than happy to thoroughly understand its information and ensure that it would no longer be sold.

Without Liu Zhen needing to give orders, Zheng Ming, the head of the technical department, realized the seriousness of the situation.

If there truly were data about the two main Soviet Union fighter jets on that USB drive, it would be of great importance to the country.

Immediately, he instructed Wu Qingyuan, "Little Wu, you should go... well, let's go together..."

He beckoned a nearby technician, took the short-range walkie-talkie from his shoulder, and showed it to Liu Zhen.

"Director, we need to go to the security room to confirm the contents of the USB drive."

"Alright!"

Liu Zhen nodded, finding it appropriate to accompany them.

The technical department of the National Security Bureau was quite diverse, including a specialized section responsible for organizing and analyzing the military equipment of various foreign countries.

After they left the data center, they walked a distance until they found a spot without surveillance devices. It was there that they stopped to discuss.

"What do you all think about this [P·C·F]?"

Chen Zhong, the head of the European branch of the National Security Bureau, shook his head. "There are many overseas Chinese organizations. After all, European and American populism and media have stirred up discrimination and oppression against overseas Chinese. But we don't have any intelligence on [P·C·F], and whether this organization exists is still unknown!"

Tao Dayuan, the head of the North American branch, also nodded in agreement. "There's no intelligence about it on our end either. Personally, I think it's highly likely that it doesn't exist!"

Liu Zhen nodded. He himself didn't quite believe in the so-called [P·C·F], despite its convincing narrative.

While they were discussing, suddenly, the handheld walkie-talkie Liu Zhen had taken from a technician back at the data center made a crackling sound.

"Director Liu... Director Liu, can you hear me?"

Liu Zhen reacted quickly, pressing the talk button to reply, "I can hear you. Old Zheng, how did your investigation go?"

"The other side didn't lie. We did find a substantial amount of data on the MiG-29 and Su-27 series fighter jets in the USB drive we searched earlier... After technical assessment, although some of the information is slightly different from what we already know, the majority of the data matches. So, we can at least confirm that most of the fighter jet information provided by the other side is genuine..."

"Is that so!"

Liu Zhen took a deep breath and glanced at the National Security Bureau's high-ranking officials who were all eagerly listening.

"It seems that this overseas compatriot of ours, who's been a mystery, has some real influence!"

Tao Dayuan was the first to speak, his expression serious.

All the others nodded in agreement. "Director Liu, should we attempt to establish contact and get a feel for their situation first...? If they indeed possess substantial power, we can report to the president and have him make the final decision?"

Sensing all eyes on him, Liu Zhen furrowed his brows.

After a while, he finally spoke slowly, "Let's try to establish contact with them first. However, I'll need to report to the president soon. If this [P·C·F] indeed wields significant power overseas, their role is not limited to just filling our gaps in foreign intelligence collection..."

After a moment's thought, Liu Zhen added, "For now, halt the investigation into Sun Cheng's people. If this [P·C·F] truly has the power they claim, I believe the president will arrange a more suitable department and personnel to interact with this so-called [P·C·F] member who has temporarily exposed themselves."

"Understood!"
