Transformers Begin : Table of Content/Chapter List

In the midst of the night, a discreet domestically-produced SUV came to a slow halt at the entrance of a riverside park about two kilometers away from the Nan Du Supercomputing Center.

Sun Cheng turned off the engine and glanced at the passenger seat, where a laptop with an appearance resembling an extraterrestrial notebook was placed. However, its metallic emblem on the lid looked like a fox's face. He began speaking slowly.

"Revenge, confirm the current status of ai-001!"

The laptop on the passenger seat was none other than Revenge, the miniature Decepticon Sun Cheng had brought back from the Transformers Universe to the Real World.

"Understood, master!"

Revenge's original form was an all-in-one unit, left by Sun Cheng at home for his and Ye Qi's protection.

This decision had been influenced by his more conservative mindset at the time. During his previous returns to the Real World, although there were dangers in the Transformers Universe, they were not as significant as the present circumstances, which led him to the point of cultivating Decepticons in the real world by leveraging the different passage of time in the two worlds.

Due to this, Sun Cheng had become bolder this time compared to his last return.

Unlike Xiao Wu, the mini Decepticon disguised as a smartphone he usually carried with him, Revenge's abilities were undoubtedly much more outstanding. Particularly in terms of combat prowess, it wouldn't fall far behind Safeguard.

True, the all-in-one form wasn't convenient to carry around, but Sun Cheng wasn't concerned about expending some energy fluid. Revenge had transformed into a new disguise, and lately, it had always been by his side.

On the laptop screen that Revenge transformed into, various lights blinked before a highly detailed 2D map appeared. It clearly marked every building within the entire Nan Du Supercomputing Center.

This was, of course, ai-001—the small device Sun Cheng had discreetly released when he entered the Nan Du Supercomputing Center, unnoticed.

This type of "intrusive miniature spider robot" was designed by Teletraan and manufactured by Decepticon engineers. Although its size was much smaller than reconnaissance robots, its abilities should not be underestimated.

Its unassuming form reduced the chances of detection significantly. Additionally, it could briefly inhabit certain electronic devices, seizing control. It excelled at infiltrating highly classified institutions and units.

After secretly placing ai-001 within the Nan Du Supercomputing Center, Sun Cheng had already given it a command on its last activation—to locate the "Beifeng" series of supercomputers and infiltrate one of them to gain access to all the information stored inside.

The country's two most famous supercomputer models were the "Baiyang" and "Beifeng" series.

The former, Baiyang, was China's earliest supercomputer model. Initially, it was reportedly used for nuclear weapon development, but later found more application in large national projects, surveying, weather forecasting, and oceanic data processing.

However, Sun Cheng was more interested in the "Beifeng" series of supercomputers, which were custom-designed for the military and stored within the supercomputing center.

As a supercomputer serving the military, the "Beifeng" series was rumored to have been manufactured in three models totaling five units. One unit was placed in a research institution under the Northwestern University of Defense Technology, another at the Army Equipment Research Institute, one at the Aerospace Center, one at a research institution under the Maritime War College in Mawei, and the final unit remained within the Nan Du Supercomputing Center.

Sun Cheng had been curious before, wondering if the "Beifeng" series of supercomputers within the Nan Du Supercomputing Center was still being utilized for military projects.

When he dispatched ai-001 to infiltrate the "Beifeng" supercomputers, his intention was not only to assess his country's true capabilities and potentially plan for future collaboration but also to find technologies that could be beneficial to him.

Although Sun Cheng did possess a considerable amount of Cybertron Technology, the development of mechanical life civilization and technology differed greatly from human civilization.

In the Transformers Universe's Earth, the Cybertronians had mastered advanced fusion power technology compared to humanity, yet they hadn't developed terrifying weapons like nuclear bombs that could easily alter the course of war.

Both Autobots and Decepticons were adept at creating various weapons, even energy weapons beyond human understanding posed no difficulty for them to manufacture.

However, due to the Cybertronian civilization's military research direction, which focused on mechanical bodies and close-combat defense, they had significant gaps in missile development and large-caliber weapon design.

Atlas was still leading the absorption and modification of missile technology obtained from Russia, and was working towards producing medium and long-range missiles, particularly ballistic cruise missiles.

Sun Cheng had managed to establish his footing in the South American region of the Transformers Universe's Earth, even gradually incorporating Brazil under his influence. However, as an outsider in that world, he was destined to hold an awkward status.

His identity as Frenzy meant that even without Decepticons or Autobots as enemies, he still had an irreconcilable relationship with Earth's original inhabitants—humans.

The nuclear weapons created by humans were akin to the Sword of Damocles, hovering above him and Second Base. Sun Cheng didn't know whether this sword would descend should he eventually gain control over South America in the future. But he didn't want to gamble, as the cost of failure would be devastating.

ai-001 was, after all, just a mechanical spy, far from being able to function for extended periods like the mini Decepticons.

When Revenge awakened it again, a line of text quickly appeared on the laptop screen.

"Mission accomplished, ready for retrieval!"

"Soon, bring it back!"

Sun Cheng's mood instantly soared several notches, and a smile formed at the corner of his lips.

It seemed that ai-001 hadn't disappointed him. This spider-like robot, which could disguise itself as a USB flash drive, was undoubtedly a capable spy.

Even in heavily guarded laboratories, it could infiltrate through places like ventilation ducts and acquire the desired information.

Inside ai-001 was a storage chip capable of storing PB-level data. Sun Cheng was now eager to see what kind of valuable information it had obtained during its time in the Nan Du Supercomputing Center.

He didn't have to wait too long. On the laptop screen transformed by Revenge, the 2D map of the Nan Du Supercomputing Center remained visible, and the red dot representing ai-001 continued to flash, moving closer to one side of the map and gradually approaching their location.

Just five or six minutes later, the red dot representing the small spider disappeared from the map.

After a few more minutes, a mechanical spider emanating a chilling gleam under the moonlight crawled through the slightly opened gap of the car window. It came to a halt directly on the keyboard of the laptop that Revenge had transformed into before becoming a USB flash drive again.

The car began moving slowly and, just as it had arrived, it soon vanished into the night, leaving as silently as it had come.
