Greenland, located in the Atlantic Ocean, is an overseas autonomous territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, covering an area of approximately 2.16 million square kilometers, with a coastline of more than 35,000 kilometers, making it the largest island on Earth.

Due to over 80% of the island's territory being covered by thick ice and snow, Greenland appears like a charming ice and snow kingdom when viewed from above, reminiscent of a fairy tale.

However, despite its vast size surpassing many European countries, Greenland's population is not substantial. Mostly located within the Arctic Circle, Greenland has a cold climate, and even with its abundant geothermal resources, it only has a population of about 500,000 indigenous people, roughly equating to 0.0257 people per square kilometer.

Sometimes, having a sparse population can be advantageous.

For instance, right now, when a peculiar combination of a massive Scania heavy truck and a Zenvo-ST1 sports car effortlessly traversed the snow-covered hills of Greenland, anyone with a bit of common sense would notice that something strange was afoot!

Inside the command center of the Keflavik U.S. military base in Iceland, it was a scene of bustling activity.

"The reconnaissance satellite is in position, and the target has been locked..."

"Within a 100-kilometer radius of the target's location, there is only a small town. We have already informed Denmark, and the civilians are about to start an emergency evacuation..."

"The aircraft carrier battle group is in position..."

"The Super Bumblebee squadron is about to take off..."

"Warning, the target suddenly stopped and entered a trap area ahead..."

"The U-2 suddenly lost contact..."

"Captain, strong electromagnetic interference has been detected. We lost contact with the frontline U-2 reconnaissance aircraft..."

"Uh oh, we've been discovered..."

"Transportation squadron... hurry, prepare to deploy the hunting team..."

On the base's runway, two of the most powerful U.S. strategic transport aircraft, C-5, were parked quietly.

William Major, fully armed, was giving a final reminder to several dozen newly replenished subordinates who had recently transferred from the Marine Corps.

"...I'll repeat one last time, this mission came very suddenly. Although we had conducted several simulation exercises before, believe me, many have gone to the battlefield with this attitude and never returned..."

"This is war, not a simulation training."

"We, Sound Nest, are the United States' and even the entire humanity's first rapid-response unit established to counter extraterrestrial invaders on Earth. I know each one of you comes from the oldest units in American history, and I believe each one of us is the best. However, our opponents are not Iraq or Afghanistan, nor even our old adversary Russia. In front of them, we are just a group of untrained rookies, new recruits!"

"They are Decepticons, the cruelest and most belligerent extraterrestrial beings in known extraterrestrial civilizations. Their physique and individual combat capabilities far exceed those of humans. Many Decepticon individuals we encountered in the past were equipped with heavy weaponry of medium and small calibers, some even equipped with missiles and have aerial combat or flight capabilities."

"Many of our weapons are hardly effective against their armor... but that should not be a reason for us to be timid or fail because war has always been the cruelest..."

At this point, William Major paused, and his sharp gaze scanned everyone present, "You should consider yourselves lucky. Before you joined Sound Nest, we had suffered considerable losses and accumulated experience in blood and sacrifice... Moreover, our extraterrestrial allies - Autobots - will fight alongside us on the battlefield..."

"Finally, one last request: be cautious, be extremely cautious, and then... come back alive..."

"Roar!"

After a brief morale-boosting speech, the fully armed members of Sound Nest entered the C-5's cabin.

Inside the cabin, several vehicles of various colors, styles, and forms were parked.

As the members of Sound Nest entered the cabin, they instinctively avoided these vehicles and stood close to the cabin wall, securing their safety harnesses to the wall. Then, they chatted in groups, waiting for the upcoming battle.

After receiving the combat orders from the command center at the Keflavik U.S. military base in Iceland, hundreds of nautical miles away from Greenland, the battle group led by the USS Theodore Roosevelt and the USS Sulphur Island amphibious assault ship, which had been swimming here for a day, finally revealed its ferocity.

On the water, several Arleigh Burke-class destroyers glided quietly, with their phased-array radars diligently at work.

Underneath the sea surface, Los Angeles-class attack submarines lurked in the deep sea, vigilant of possible nuclear submarines from Russia or even the UK and France.

When the combat orders were conveyed to the battle group, Colonel Rolls Verlan, the captain of the Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier, decisively picked up the communicator on the command deck and issued the combat orders to the entire battle formation that had been waiting for the combat command.

"...Combat orders received. Coordinates xx.xx, action starts..."

"Swoosh..."

"Swoosh..."

"Swoosh..."

One after another, Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched from the Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, flying towards a certain location in Greenland.

Explosions soon followed in succession. The well-equipped U.S. military mercilessly shot over a hundred Tomahawk cruise missiles towards the target location. Meanwhile, the F-18 Super Bumblebee squadrons from the Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier and Sulphur Island amphibious assault ship had also arrived in the target area. After a brief radar scan to confirm the target, the Super Bumblebees unleashed their extremely powerful anti-ship missiles, relentlessly shooting them towards the locked target area.

...

The U.S. military caused such a commotion, and Russia, which had always maintained considerable military influence in the North Atlantic and European regions, couldn't possibly be unaware of it.

In fact, when the USS Theodore Roosevelt from the U.S. Second Fleet began to move, and at the same time, various U.S. military bases in Europe showed varying degrees of alertness and personnel movements, the sensitive nerve of the Polar Bear was immediately triggered. Russian military satellites had been closely monitoring the entire European and even North Atlantic region.

Coincidentally, this satellite happened to be one that Sun Cheng's group had previously performed a technological upgrade for Russia. Leaving a backdoor in the satellite, Sun Cheng learned of everything happening in Greenland before Moscow could inform them.

"They are done for!"

Uttering these words softly, Sun Cheng waved his hand, and the clear battlefield images captured by the Russian military satellite disappeared instantly.

He turned around with great interest and looked at Excavator, who followed him like a bodyguard, with a smile that couldn't be suppressed.

In a few days, he would be free from this cage called North Dovinsk!
