Sun Cheng realized that he seemed to have made a significant mistake!

Since the end of the battle in Las Vegas, especially after learning that the Autobots had started engaging with the US government, he had been hiding and evading the animosity of the Autobots and even other Decepticons.

Even he had almost forgotten that this was Earth, not Cybertron!

That's right!

This is Earth!

Since the Autobots can collaborate with the US government, why couldn't he seek an alliance with a faction as well?!

As soon as this idea surfaced, Sun Cheng felt a surge of excitement in his core!

Yes!

If he could find a national power on Earth to ally with, it would undoubtedly be a choice with more benefits than drawbacks for Sun Cheng.

The construction of the new mechanical body required a vast amount of rare metals. If he relied solely on his own collection efforts, he estimated that it would take him at least several years.

After all, to complete his new mechanical body, he needed no less than four to five hundred different types of rare metals. Only about one-third of them could be found as mineral deposits on Earth, while the majority were scarce resources with limited distribution on Earth, making their collection quite troublesome.

However, all these complications would become insignificant when facing a national power.

Sun Cheng was well aware that the various rare metals he needed were valuable resources strictly controlled by nations on Earth. They surely had stockpiles of these metals.

Furthermore, this alliance would also help solve the issue of energy supply.

These advantages were not limited to just these two points!

Although Sun Cheng was wary of the Autobots and Decepticons, he also acknowledged that if the United States, the most powerful force on Earth, turned against him, it would also give him a headache.

The extensive military might of the US armed forces globally was not the only concern; the real challenge lied in their endless supply of black technology and terrifying nuclear arsenal.

Therefore, finding one or even multiple allies on Earth to assist him in countering the United States would undoubtedly alleviate many of his troubles.

Based on these considerations, after the idea of seeking cooperation with a country on Earth emerged, Sun Cheng quickly affirmed that it was feasible!

Although he distanced himself from the Decepticon group and now held a strong animosity towards the Autobots, Sun Cheng wasn't entirely defenseless!

While the "Frenzy" that occupied his mechanical body may not be an established Decepticon warrior, as a member of the [Cassette Legion], its exceptional intelligence gathering capabilities allowed Sun Cheng, who had traversed time, to collect a considerable amount of advanced technology from Europe and the United States over the past few months.

Furthermore, Sun Cheng has been diligently utilizing his engineers to collect as much advanced technology from the Cybertron Planet as possible. Even if he only selects a few pieces to showcase, it is believed that not even the most powerful force on Earth, the United States, could resist its allure.

...

Following the electromagnetic fluctuations of No. 2, Sun Cheng tracked his way to a glacier near New Alesund Island.

"Master, is there anything else I can assist you with?"

Just as Sun Cheng arrived at the location, No. 2 fluttered its wings and landed in front of him, asking with a flattering tone.

"Not for now!"

Knowing that No. 2 didn't wish to return to its mechanical body, Sun Cheng didn't insist. He leaned forward to observe the busy Chinese scientific expedition team members below, clad in thick insulated suits, as they set up several devices in the vicinity of the glacier, seemingly preparing to collect data.

In a swift motion, Core established a connection with a communication satellite, allowing Sun Cheng to search for information regarding the Yellow River Station.

After a while, his brow slightly furrowed.

In this world, China's Arctic and Antarctic research stations are under the management of the "Polar Research Office." However, the higher authority above the Polar Office is merely the State Oceanic Administration. Establishing direct contact with the leadership of the country's Core through this channel is not an easy task.

Although this is not his world, the China on this Earth differs greatly from the China in his own world.

Nevertheless, their shared Yanhuang lineage and Chinese heritage fostered a sense of familiarity within him and reduced the cold indifference he felt towards other countries.

Moreover, his contact plan requires some preparation time.

After contemplating for a while, he generated a video within Core.

Upon completion, Sun Cheng extended his right hand, palm open, and commanded No. 2, "Come here, I have a task for you!"

"Master, I am delighted to serve you!"

No. 2 promptly landed flatteringly in his palm.

Sun Cheng raised it in front of himself, and two beams of deep blue light emanated from his eyes, directly aligning with No. 2's eyes.

Soon, he transferred the completed video to Core No. 2 and then instructed, "This is your new task. Later, you will infiltrate the Chinese research station with them, seize their encrypted data transmission authority, and transmit this video to the other side with the highest clearance. Remember not to harm anyone or expose yourself. After completing the task, you will remain undercover at the Chinese research station, and I will come to pick you up in a week."

"Yes, Master!"

Upon learning that he didn't have to return to his mechanical body, he continued to brood in that dark corner. No. 2 was visibly excited.

Sun Cheng glanced at him briefly, nodded, and then went separate ways, heading towards his second target.

When it comes to countries on Earth capable and qualified to challenge the United States, there aren't many.

China can be considered one, but it has suffered significant setbacks in recent times. Not only is it difficult for China to directly confront the United States in the real world, but in the world of Transformers, the timeline has only reached the year 2007, and China doesn't possess the same power as the United States.

Therefore, although he chose China as his first contact country due to familial ties and inherent affinity, Sun Cheng knew he needed another safeguard.

Undoubtedly, polar bears were the best choice!

Speaking of Russia, ever since Sun Cheng traveled to this world, he had extensively studied the country.

After all, in the world he came from, the mighty Soviet Union still stood in the north as a red superpower.

The dominance of that fearsome red behemoth had not weakened by a fraction as the real world progressed to the year 2016 AD. It continued to confront China in Northeast Asia, challenge Japan and the United States in the Pacific, grin at NATO in Europe, and maintain its authority in the Middle East and North Africa.

Therefore, even in the world of Transformers, where the Soviet Union had disintegrated in 1991 and given birth to a severely weakened Russia, it was difficult for Sun Cheng to ignore it.

Apart from his regular focus on China in this world, Sun Cheng devoted a considerable amount of time to polar bears.

His current task was to give this severely depleted polar bear a little bit of strength.
