Jessica woke up from her daze, feeling a chill on her cheek. She used her sleeve to wipe away the tears, trying not to look at the other three's concerned gazes.

"Damn it, don't look at me like that, as if I'm a helpless little girl, you bunch of damn men. Don't treat me like a weakling, and don't think you can control me again!" Jessica shouted, but soon covered her face again, revealing her eyes through the gaps between her fingers, saying, "No offense, I'm not talking about you, but that damn sadist Purple Man."

"No relationship," Reilly gently put his arm around her shoulder and said, "You are a victim, and it's normal to break down and shout. We completely understand, and you don't need to hide it."

Jessica's expression became a little dazed again, as if she remembered something. Quill asked curiously, "Did you see him?"

"You mean that black sun?" Jessica pursed her lips, hesitated for a moment and said, "If you're referring to the visions I saw like dreaming while sleeping, then yes, I saw it."

"What did he say?"

"He didn't say anything, he seems unable to speak." Jessica shook her head, saying in a confused tone, "But I instinctively felt that I could trust him, so I told him my story, about..."

Jessica took a deep breath, still seeming unable to say the words well. This had been the deepest pain buried in her heart.

"About being kidnapped, psychologically and physically abused, and experiencing the apocalypse... I said a lot, rambling like a soccer mom praising her children, oh God, it's a good thing he can't speak, otherwise how could he stand my complaining?"

Jessica covered her face, as if blaming herself, saying, "He's kind of like a traditional confessional, well, that's what I think, I hope he doesn't feel offended."

"But I can tell my secrets to a demon god, rather than my parents, right? Because my good and bad has nothing to do with a God, he may not even hear or care, but my parents can't, if they knew what I went through, they would be very sad, so I can't tell them."

"Didn't you try praying to God before?" Quill asked, "Isn't the principle the same?"

"In fact, I have tried." Jessica swallowed and said, "Occasionally, I would become lucid during the process of being controlled, but I knew I couldn't move, so I would say in my heart, 'God, please come save me.'"

"But I knew God wouldn't come, if he really loved me, he wouldn't let me sink to this point, but I'm actually very gullible, if he let me see a winged thing with a portal descend, even if it was just a delusion of my trauma, I would be willing to tell him everything."

"Perhaps that black sun is a God using delusions to fob off humans, but even so, I'm happy, after all, in the first few decades of my life, people didn't even have a little patience to fob me off."

Jessica wiped the tears off her face with the back of her hand and said, "Thank you for giving me a way to confess, although I know it doesn't help the current situation at all, I may have wasted this opportunity."

"No, Jessica," Reilly looked into her eyes and said, "Your ability to give up your own negative and self-destructive mentality is the greatest help to us. You don't even realize how strong you are."

Jessica hugged the gun tightly in her hands, but Reilly shook his head and said, "You don't need to use a gun at all, I told you to use your fists."

"You should try it, girl," Quill nodded at Jessica and said, "Punch him in the face, or somewhere else, and you'll know how much power you have."

Reilly stood up, stretched his wrists and ankles, and waved at Jessica. Jessica was still reluctant to put down the gun, but after hesitating for a while, she finally threw the gun aside and started stretching her wrists.

Jessica punched Reilly, not in the face, but in the chest. She didn't use full force, nor did she fly up, but Reilly still flew away.

Of course, if Reilly had counterattacked, he should also be able to make Jessica fly away, but since it was a test of strength, he didn't retaliate.

When Reilly got up from the ground, he patted the dust off his clothes and coughed hard, saying, "Oh my God, if you had used your fists earlier, there wouldn't have been so much trouble. You have much more power than King Pin, and you can even fly."

Jessica mumbled something and sat back down by the campfire, saying, "Maybe you're just too light, you should eat more."

"My muscle and bone density is dozens of times that of an ordinary person. Just now, it was roughly equivalent to lightly punching a truck and sending it flying."

"Actually, I've known I have this kind of strength all along," Jessica lowered her head and said, "But please believe me, before I didn't use it, not because I didn't want to, but because the influence of that damn control freak was still lingering in my brain."

"He wanted me to forget my own strength so that I couldn't resist him anymore, so before I couldn't use my strength, but now it's much better. People always say that confession can reduce pressure, and I think it's true."

"Perhaps, this is also a blessing on another level." Quill got up from the ground, rubbing his somewhat painful forehead and saying, "He gave us three truths, gave you comfort, and was even a little understanding, isn't he?"

"I always feel like we shouldn't be joking about him like this." Shang-Chi also stood up, then half-knelt down to extinguish the campfire, with Reilly helping him.

"I think he wouldn't mind. It's amazing that in many beliefs, the presence of God is always so strong." Jessica shook her head and expressed her opinion, then continued, "It's as if these Gods are desperately hoping to occupy an important position in the hearts of their believers. They demand that believers devoutly see them as another high and mighty entity, and weaken the self as much as possible in order to give everything to them. Those complex sacrifice rituals and lengthy prayers are all aimed at extinguishing personality and taming people."

"But I always feel that the Black Sun wants us to focus on ourselves, he wants us to have faith, but faith in our own beliefs." Jessica opened her mouth, seemingly unsure how to explain, but she still spoke with a kind of intuition: "It's not about seeing him as another lofty object, not about developing reverence for him, but about making him a part of ourselves, and then believing in some quality of our own."

"Perhaps I will choose 'catharsis'." Jessica stroked her chest and said: "If I believe I can alleviate my own emotions, perhaps I will be more empowered, and I feel that is what he hopes to see."

"But I still don't quite understand, what's in it for him?" Jessica furrowed her brow in confusion, as if asking herself, "Will he need our strength at some point? Will he come to reap the rewards one day?"

"I think he may just be enjoying the process." Quill sighed lightly, "You may find it incredible, but we can't understand the thoughts of demon gods, their perspective on the world is different from ours."

"Weak intelligent life seeks gain and loss, but perhaps more advanced beings have long since abandoned these things, they are like silent observers, their true intention is to observe the changes in the world, in us, and in everyone."

"Like cultivation?"

"Like cultivation."

"I feel you've described him as too heartless." Shang-Chi voiced his opposition, clenching his fists and coughing a couple of times, "Didn't you feel any emotional fluctuations in him when he was telling the story of this space?"

"'Emotional fluctuations'? Listen to your own words, who else here besides you would use that term? I really don't understand these things." Quill shrugged and fed the cookies he had taken from the store to Rocket Raccoon.

Reilly also looked puzzled, and Shang-Chi frowned, "Am I the only one who felt it? The Black Sun really dislikes that damn Avengers Alliance, but at most he has contempt for them, he dislikes Ma'vil even more, and you can feel a very subtle aversion from him."

"You mean, he has humanity?" Lili furrowed her brows and asked.

Shang-Chi nodded and said, "Certainly, he's not just a question-and-answer machine or a wishing well, he must have wisdom and emotions, as well as his own likes and dislikes."

"But we didn't feel it at all, is this your exclusive privilege?"

Shang-Chi pursed his lips and said, "In any case, I have a lot in common with him, I've heard that Captain Marvel is a hero before."

Shang-Chi was naturally referring to the movie "Captain Marvel", he didn't have a deep impression of this movie, maybe he didn't like it when he watched it, but Captain Marvel should be a Superhero, not a monster that ruins the entire space to satisfy his own destructive desires.

"Do you think this might be a kind of... hint from him?" Jessica sensed some more subtle things, she tilted her head slightly and said, "He might not be completely indifferent to rewards?"

"Whether this is the reward he demands or not, we have to deal with Ma'vil anyway, let's just say that if this can make him happy, it will be a double-edged sword. I hope he can be happier, maybe next time I have some troubles, I can also treat him as a confidant." Reilly raised an eyebrow and said.

"In that case, are we considered the followers of this ancient being? No tentacles, no tumors, and we didn't even gain any powerful strength, just like this?" Jessica said.

As they walked towards the exit along the sewer, Reilly shook his head and said, "That's for the best. Ever since I worked at the Sanctum Sanctorum for a while, I've become a thorough atheist. You have no idea how stupid, annoying, and hard to communicate those demon gods are."

"If there really was such a god up there bossing me around, I might just punch him. Now it's better this way."

"Our conversation has come back to the starting point, since we didn't get powerful strength, how are you going to deal with Ma'vil and the Avengers Alliance?"

"Knowledge and truth are the most powerful forces." Reilly began to speak, "From this story, we have learned about several weaknesses of the Avengers Alliance."

Reilly then explained, "First, we know that this crazy pollution cannot contaminate machines, so Reilly can manufacture robots to fight them; second, there are survivors on Earth, they should be a group of robots, we can ally with them to fight against the Avengers Alliance; third, they are planning to invade other spaces, perhaps we can find a way to interfere with their decision."

"Not let them invade other spaces?"

"Let them invade the spaces we want them to invade."

"But no space should be..."

Shang-Chi suddenly stopped, his eyes widening as he stared at Reilly. Reilly spread his hands and smiled, saying, "There must be a space that welcomes them... the Member Gifts for this quarter haven't found a home yet."
