Immortal Path Space : Table of Content/Chapter List

XXX-----XXX-----XXX-----XXX

On this day, in the port city of Qizhou Island, a massive fleet slowly set sail.

Jia Liang and Zhang Chunfeng stood on two medium-sized sea vessels in the center, while Ling Shuai, Ling Xue, and twenty other Nascent Soul Cultivators remained on the outskirts, vigilant against potential attacks from all directions.

After a day's journey at sea, they encountered another fleet ahead on the open waters.

This fleet consisted of only two medium-sized sea vessels, half the size of the Great Chu Immortal Nation's Large Sea Ship and considerably less powerful in combat. Additionally, there were five Large-sized Flying Boats hovering quietly above the sea vessels, with a mixed group of fighters inside.

Wang Yi stood on one of the medium-sized sea vessels, gazing at the impressive fleet of the Great Chu Immortal Nation with envy. He wondered when Taihao Sect would be able to boast such a formidable fleet.

Despite his brother's immense wealth and tendency to shower him with valuable items, Wang Yi knew it was a personal matter between them. Both of them had their respective factions, and such generosity couldn't extend to their factions as a whole.

When Taihao Sect and Qingxu Sect first arrived in this region, they were practically penniless and had no foothold. They were clueless about the surrounding environment.

In the end, it was the Great Chu Immortal Nation that shared some valuable intelligence with them, allowing both factions to secretly secure islands with Spirit Qi. Although the quality of Spirit Veins on these islands was subpar, it at least provided them with a place to establish themselves and grow slowly.

Furthermore, the Great Chu Immortal Nation showed some consideration for these two factions hailing from Hezhou. Qingxu Sect specialized in Alchemy, so the Great Chu Immortal Nation entrusted them with Alchemy commissions, supplying materials for Qingxu Sect to craft pills, which the Great Chu Immortal Nation then reclaimed. This commission brought in some Alchemy fees, relieving them from their dire situation, if only temporarily.

In contrast to Qingxu Sect, Taihao Sect faced even greater difficulties. They didn't possess the same level of expertise in Alchemy; their heritage lay in the path of sword cultivation. They were not proficient in Alchemy or refining tools, so they couldn't simply become Treasure Hunters.

In the end, it was Wang Hong who saw his younger brother Wang Yi constantly worrying about how to earn Spirit Stones. He and his brother pointed them toward a solution: Taihao Sect could gather resources from Fengwu Continent and accompany the Great Chu Immortal Nation's fleet to Hezhou Continent to sell them at a profit.

Thus, Taihao Sect rallied all their resources and managed to put together this small fleet, which paled in comparison to the Great Chu Immortal Nation's fleet.

However, Taihao Sect's capabilities in refining were limited, and most of their cargo consisted of raw materials.

Soon, the two fleets drew closer and converged.

"Zhang, it's been a long time!" Wang Yi exclaimed as Zhang Chunfeng flew over to him, waving enthusiastically.

Wang Yi had known Zhang Chunfeng since their Qi Cultivation days and was aware that he was his brother's capable assistant. They had a good relationship from before.

"Brother Wang, I heard you found a stunning Dao Companion. Didn't bring her along?" Zhang Chunfeng teased.

"A while ago, my brother gave me a Nascent Formation Pill, and she's currently in seclusion at the sect," Wang Yi replied.

"Then I must congratulate you in advance! Let's go to my ship and have some drinks, and I'll introduce you to the other Fellow Daoists," Zhang Chunfeng led Wang Yi to a large sea ship in the middle, where he introduced Wang Yi to the other Nascent Soul Cultivators on this journey.

The fleet continued eastward, safely crossing the Desolate Spirit Sea region, and eventually arrived safely in the Southern Region of Hezhou.

As soon as their fleet docked, various major powers in the Southern Region mobilized, sending Nascent Soul Cultivators as envoys to welcome them.

Xu Lun had been planning his route, thinking about visiting one faction before another upon landing, but he didn't expect all five major sects to send representatives.

As the person in charge of this trade caravan, as soon as he flew out of the sea vessel, five Nascent Soul Cultivators warmly approached him.

"We have long heard of Fellow Daoist Xu's great name, and today we are fortunate to meet you in person. It's truly a rare opportunity! Our Redleaf Sect has already prepared a banquet to welcome you and your companions. Would you like to join us for a drink at the Redleaf Sect?" A middle-aged man with a horse-like face warmly extended an invitation.

"We, Beast Spirit Sect, have a long-standing relationship with the Great Chu Immortal Nation. We have already prepared a place for you to settle down. How about visiting Beast Spirit Sect first?" A purple-bearded middle-aged man from the Beast Spirit Sect also extended an invitation.

"Fellow Daoist Xu, Myriad Ghosts Sect..."

The moment Xu Lun appeared, the representatives from these five sects started debating fiercely about which faction to visit first. They all knew that there wouldn't be too many valuable items in the caravan, and going to one faction first meant a chance to pick the best items. This cycle would leave the factions at the end with little to choose from.

Xu Lun realized that this situation wouldn't be resolved easily if they continued to argue. He cleared his throat and spoke up, "Ahem! Fellow Daoists, may I have your attention for a moment?"

The five Nascent Soul Cultivators immediately quieted down and turned their attention to Xu Lun. In reality, no matter how they argued, they ultimately needed to follow Xu Lun's decision. They were all people of integrity and righteousness, and violence or unfair practices were never considered.

"Thank you, fellow Daoists, for your kind invitations. I appreciate your goodwill," Xu Lun began, bowing respectfully. The representatives breathed a sigh of relief.

Their intention was not necessarily to take advantage but to ensure they wouldn't be disadvantaged in the end.

"I understand your concerns. I have a proposal: let's conduct the trade right here. I will provide a list of Spiritual Objects, and after reviewing it, each of you can give me a purchase order specifying the quantities of each type of Spiritual Object you wish to buy. Once I have all the orders, I will distribute the items according to your preferences, and then we can proceed with the trade. What do you think?"

Upon hearing this proposal, the representatives nodded in agreement. This way, no one could take advantage of the situation.

"Fellow Daoist Xu, what if the quantities we wish to purchase exceed the quantities on the list, and there are not enough Spiritual Objects to go around?" This was a concern they had raised earlier during their arguments.

"In the event of a shortage of Spiritual Objects, I will divide them into five equal portions, with each of the five sects receiving one portion. Does this arrangement sound acceptable to all?" Xu Lun suggested.
