Immortal Path Space : Table of Content/Chapter List

XXX-----XXX-----XXX-----XXX

After bidding farewell to the Wang Hong and the fleet, Wang Hong embarked on a solitary journey, riding a small Flying Boat towards Hezhou.

Though the Desolate Spirit Sea was fraught with dangers, as a Nascent Soul Cultivator, he could travel alone without any hindrances. Unless he encountered a Soul Transformation Cultivator, there was hardly anyone who could keep up with him.

Setting foot on the Hezhou continent once again, after decades had passed since his last visit, Wang Hong was filled with countless emotions. He knew better than to act recklessly; he needed to assess the situation and attend to some other matters first.

Once more, he transformed himself into a fearsome Demonic Beast form and donned a black cloak that could shield his Divine Sense. Even a fourth-tier Demonic Beast wouldn't recognize him.

He traveled southward, keeping a low profile, until he reached the Southern Region of Hezhou. Before his retreat from the Great Chu Immortal Nation, this area still belonged to the Human Clan, though it had become chaotic and lawless.

Most of the major forces from the East Zhou had migrated to this region.

It seemed like the Southern Region was still under the control of the Human Clan, and traces of their activities could be seen.

As Wang Hong flew through the sky, his brows suddenly furrowed. His Divine Sense had detected a Foundation Building Cultivator flying towards him on a sword.

The Cultivator had yet to notice his presence, for in the wilderness, lower-tier Cultivators would instinctively avoid higher-tier ones.

With a thought, he appeared right in front of the Foundation Building Cultivator in the blink of an eye.

The Foundation Building Cultivator, who had been focused on his journey, raised his head to see a Daoist Master-like figure suddenly appear before him. Startled, he shivered and quickly halted in his tracks.

"I don't know what advice you have for me, Senior. If you have any instructions, I will gladly follow."

Realizing that he had been intercepted by a Nascent Soul Cultivator, the Cultivator displayed a respectful attitude.

"I don't have any specific business with you. I just want to gather some information. Please tell me everything that has happened in the Southern Region over the past forty years."

Wang Hong had no particular questions in mind, but the Foundation Building Cultivator dared not disobey. Afraid of angering this powerful figure, he proceeded to provide a detailed account of events, even without taking a sip of water during the lengthy narration.

Although this Cultivator had only reached the Foundation Building level, he was well-informed about the broader changes in the Southern Region. After he had finished his narrative, Wang Hong had gained a preliminary understanding of the Southern Region's situation.

After years of continuous battles and the relentless oppression from the East Zhou Demon Clan, the turmoil in the Southern Region had finally subsided. The forces that had migrated to the Southern Region had engaged in constant conflicts with the local powers, resulting in significant losses for both sides. About a decade ago, they had started a large-scale merger.

Many forces were absorbed, leaving only the five most powerful ones, which now balanced each other and had ceased their endless warfare. They were even discussing cooperation to jointly confront the advancing Demon Clan from the East Zhou.

However, Qingxu Sect was not among the surviving five major forces.

"Do you know what happened to Qingxu Sect in the end?"

"Due to the depletion of the lifespan of one Nascent Soul ancestor and the severe injuries suffered by the other, with more than half of their disciples dead, they had no choice but to merge into the Beast Spirit Sect."

The Foundation Building Cultivator answered cautiously, unsure whether Wang Hong had friendly or hostile intentions towards Qingxu Sect. He could only provide a neutral response.

Wang Hong proceeded to ask more questions, and the Foundation Building Cultivator answered them all honestly.

"Well, I've asked all my questions, and I don't want you to be needlessly frightened. Consider this a reward for your cooperation."

Wang Hong had no habit of oppressing lower-tier Cultivators. After he finished his inquiries, he took a Spirit Grain from his spatial storage and tossed it to the Foundation Building Cultivator before departing gracefully.

The Foundation Building Cultivator waited until Wang Hong had left, then picked up the object he had received with curiosity.

In his hand, he held a Spirit Grain the size of a fingertip, emitting a golden glow. It hadn't even been removed from its husk, yet it radiated potent Spiritual Energy. By his experienced judgment, this Spirit Grain was definitely beyond the second tier, at least a third tier.

He quickly stashed the Spirit Grain into his Storage Bag and glanced around to ensure no one had noticed before carefully leaving the area.

Upon his return, consuming this Spirit Rice would allow him to smoothly advance from the mid-tier Foundation Building to the late-tier Foundation Building. This unexpected windfall from his journey had saved him at least ten years of cultivation.

Meanwhile, Wang Hong, who had long since distanced himself from the Foundation Building Cultivator, paid no attention to the reactions of the latter.

In his spatial storage, there were no Spiritual Objects below the third tier, so he casually plucked a Spirit Grain from his storage and tossed it to the lower-tier Cultivator. This Spirit Grain had undergone three mutations and had already reached the level of third-tier Spirit Rice.

Only Spirit Rice possessed the mildest properties and could be consumed even by those with insufficient cultivation levels.

After Wang Hong had gathered enough information about the location of the Beast Spirit Sect, he headed straight for it.

He had some unfinished business with the Qi Family, a faction within the Beast Spirit Sect. Initially, he hadn't paid much attention to it. After all, he was now a Nascent Soul Cultivator and a ruler of a nation. The Qi Family, with only a few Golden Core Cultivators, was inconsequential to him.

But since he was going to the Beast Spirit Sect anyway, he decided to inquire about past events. The Qi Family had once commissioned the Shadow Kill to assassinate him, causing him quite a bit of trouble. However, it was also from a Qi Family disciple that he had obtained his Jade Tree, which amounted to a significant gift.

Leveraging their generations of Spirit Beast cultivation, the Beast Spirit Sect had suffered fewer casualties during the recent turmoil, allowing them to merge with several other factions in the Southern Region. After continuous battles, they had finally swallowed many other forces, leaving only the five most powerful ones in the region, who had decided to cease their endless warfare and cooperate against the Demon Clan from the East Zhou.

Qi Family had not been among the five surviving major forces.

"Do you know what happened to Qingxu Sect in the end?"

"Due to the depletion of one Nascent Soul ancestor's lifespan and severe injuries to the other, with over half of their disciples dead, they had no choice but to merge into the Beast Spirit Sect."

The Foundation Building Cultivator answered cautiously, unsure of Wang Hong's intentions toward Qingxu Sect. He could only provide a neutral response.

Wang Hong continued to ask more questions, and the Foundation Building Cultivator answered them all honestly.

Once Wang Hong had left a considerable distance, the Foundation Building Cultivator inspected the item he held in his hand.

He found himself holding a Spirit Grain the size of a finger, emitting a golden glow, and still encased in its husk, yet radiating powerful Spiritual Energy. Based on his experience, this Spirit Grain was undoubtedly beyond the second tier, at least a third tier.

He promptly stashed the Spirit Grain into his Storage Bag and, after ensuring no one had noticed, cautiously left the area.

Upon returning, all he needed to do was consume this Spirit Rice, and he could smoothly advance from the mid-stage Foundation Building to the late stage. This unexpected windfall would save him at least ten years of cultivation.

Wang Hong had already distanced himself quite far by this time and paid no attention to how the Foundation Building Cultivator would react.

There were no Spiritual Objects below the third tier left in his Space, which was why he casually plucked a Spirit Grain and gave it to the Foundation Building junior.

The Spirit Grain in his Space had undergone three mutations and had already reached the level of third tier Spirit Rice. Spirit Rice was the gentlest in nature and could be consumed even with insufficient cultivation level.

After obtaining the location of the Beast Spirit Sect from Wang Hong, he flew directly towards it. He happened to have some unfinished business with the Qi Family of the Beast Spirit Sect, although he hadn't taken it too seriously. After all, he was now a Nascent Soul Cultivator and the ruler of a nation, while the Qi Family, with only a few Golden Core Cultivators, was beneath his notice.

But since he was going to visit the Beast Spirit Sect, he might as well inquire about past matters. The Qi Family had once hired the Shadow Kill to chase him down, causing him quite a bit of trouble. However, he had also acquired his Jade Tree from a Qi Family disciple, which amounted to a generous gift.

The Beast Spirit Sect had an advantage due to its Spirit Beasts cultivated over generations, resulting in fewer casualties during previous conflicts and giving him a chance to swallow several other factions. After flying for a day in the Southern Region, he arrived at the foot of a large mountain. A Mountain Gate with the words "Beast Spirit Sect" inscribed on it stood before him.

Wang Hong planned to use diplomacy first and assess the Beast Spirit Sect's attitude. After all, it was only a few individuals from the Beast Spirit Sect who had offended him; others had no grudges against him.

If the Beast Spirit Sect's high-level members were reasonable, Wang Hong would naturally leave them some face. But if they were ignorant, he didn't mind crushing the Beast Spirit Sect. He was just a step away from entering the late Nascent Soul stage and had no fear of their higher-tier Cultivators. With a swarm of Poisonous Bees numbering over a thousand third-tier ones, he doubted any force in Hezhou could possess so many Golden Core Cultivators.

With over ten thousand third-tier Poisonous Bees combined with second-tier ones, it should be relatively easy to take down the Beast Spirit Sect.

"I don't know which Fellow Daoist is visiting. What brings you here?" A Cultivator approached as Wang Hong reached the Mountain Gate and questioned him.

Wang Hong exuded a bit of Nascent Soul aura and calmly said, "I am Wang Hong, seeking an audience with the Nascent Soul ancestor of the Beast Spirit Sect."

Feeling the powerful aura emanating from Wang Hong, the Cultivator promptly bowed and said, "This junior is blind not to recognize the senior's true identity. Please forgive me."

"No need to worry. Just inform them of my arrival," Wang Hong replied, showing a hint of impatience.
