Immortal Path Space : Table of Content/Chapter List

XXX-----XXX-----XXX-----XXX

On the southwestern border of the Great Chu Immortal Nation, there was a vast and formidable Demon Clan army, numbering over a million, marching in perfect unison towards the King's City of the Great Chu Immortal Nation.

Within their ranks, dozens of different tribes had gathered, some of which were natural enemies. Under normal circumstances, these tribes would have already clashed with one another. But at this moment, they displayed unprecedented harmony and camaraderie.

All of this was due to the presence of a Tier Four Demonic Beast among them. It exerted a subtle yet undeniable pressure that kept them all in check, preventing any deviation from its will.

At this moment, more than four hundred massive Flying Boats descended from the distant sky, forming an organized formation as they advanced.

Standing on the deck of a large-sized Flying Boat at the forefront was Wang Hong, his gaze fixed on the approaching Demon Clan army.

Although the enemy's numbers were vast, their formation lacked discipline. They were divided by tribal groups, scattered in a disorderly fashion.

As the Flying Boats approached, the reactions of the Demonic Beasts varied. Some of them panicked, running and howling, while others paid no heed and continued with their activities.

Clearly, the Demon Clan had merely gathered these Demonic Beasts and lacked effective command and control. Their formation resembled nothing more than scattered sand.

The overall commander of this battle was Zhang Chunfeng; Wang Hong's role was to bolster the forces and deal with the Tier Four Demonic Beast.

Upon Zhang Chunfeng's command, all the Flying Boats landed, and soldiers disembarked, forming neat lines outside. Only then did the Demon Clan organize themselves and prepare for battle, though their formation remained uneven.

It seemed that the Demon Clan's strategy relied solely on overwhelming numbers.

There was no need for excessive words between the humans and demons. After forming their ranks, they charged headlong toward each other.

Due to their sheer numbers, the Demon Clan's forces stretched out across the landscape, making them appear bulky and less agile.

The Human Clan had a smaller force of two hundred thousand soldiers, which was already significantly outnumbered. Zhang Chunfeng commanded the Human Clan Cultivators to form a tight formation, akin to a sharp blade, placed in front of the Demon Clan's ranks.

Led by Skinny Monkey, over fifty Golden Core Cultivators charged at the forefront like the cutting edge of a blade, effortlessly cleaving through the front lines of Demonic Beasts.

The entire Human Clan army followed suit, plunging into the midst of the Demonic Beast horde.

While the Demonic Beasts were numerous, only a few engaged in direct combat with the Human Clan's main force. Many of them remained on the periphery, unable to push into the battlefield.

As a result, the scattered formation of the Demon Clan was no match for the well-organized Human Clan forces.

In large-scale warfare like this, numerical advantage played a significant role, but it wasn't the sole determining factor. Individual combat prowess, coordination, and strategic use of tactics were also crucial.

In this situation, the Human Clan Cultivators were organized, disciplined, and effectively commanded, while the Demon Clan forces were disorganized and chaotic.

The Human Clan army quickly broke through the Demon Clan's formation, charging in from the front and emerging from the rear, creating a devastating crossfire.

After breaking through the Demon Clan's ranks, they retreated five miles away, reorganized their formation, tended to the wounded, and then charged back into the beast horde.

While Zhang Chunfeng led the charge, Wang Hong swiftly located the Tier Four Demonic Beast within the Demon Clan's ranks.

"Hello, Fellow Daoist, it's been a while. I hope you've been well?"

Wang Hong appeared in front of a humanoid bird-beaked Demon Clan member, wearing a smile as he greeted.

The bird-beaked Demon Clan cursed its luck. Out of all the enemy forces, why did it have to be him?

It had just sent a Transmission Talisman to contact nearby Demon Clan units, expecting reinforcements to arrive soon. In the previous battle, it had already witnessed the formidable defensive power of Wang Hong's magical weapon. Facing him was like constantly being in an unbeatable position, not to mention the terrifying power of Wang Hong's sword formation. It felt it was not a match for him.

"Yes, indeed! What a coincidence! Meeting again after a long time, how about sharing a drink? If word gets out that we, one human and one demon, shared a drink and exchanged wisdom during a great battle, it would become quite a tale!"

At this moment, the bird-beaked Demonic Beast seemed like an old friend reunited with Wang Hong, enthusiastically proposing the idea.

Since it believed that fighting would not be in its favor, and with reinforcements on the way, it preferred to avoid a confrontation. Wang Hong could easily discern these intentions; after all, there weren't many tales of camaraderie between humans and demons.

"Sure! Fine wine is a lifelong passion of mine."

Wang Hong happily walked towards the bird-beaked Demon Clan member, casually taking out a bottle of wine and uncorking it, releasing an enticing aroma. It seemed as if he genuinely intended to share a drink with the demon.

As he approached, Wang Hong continuously retrieved various delicacies from his Storage Bag, suspending them in the air with his Spiritual Power.

Observing Wang Hong's actions, the bird-beaked Demonic Beast marveled at how easily humans could be deceived while feeling a hint of superiority in terms of intelligence.

It wasn't concerned about Wang Hong approaching because it believed human physical strength couldn't compare to that of a Demonic Beast.

The bird-beaked Demon Clan member thought it might even gain an advantage by allowing Wang Hong to get closer. Unfortunately, it had never witnessed Wang Hong's previous battle outside King's City against Lone Horn.

Lone Horn, a Demon Clan member, had always relied on his formidable physical strength, considering himself superior to other demons. Despite being one realm higher than Wang Hong, their strength had been evenly matched.

When Wang Hong closed in to within five feet of the bird-beaked Demon Clan member, he suddenly launched a ferocious attack, throwing a punch at his adversary.

With such a sudden attack at close range, there was no way for the demon to evade, only to endure it head-on.

The bird-beaked Demon Clan member was still contemplating whether to launch a surprise attack to subdue Wang Hong and obtain his set of leaf-shaped magical weapons when, without warning, a punch was coming at it.

In haste, it responded with a punch of its own, a sneer forming on its lips. How could a mere Human Clan member dare to compare physical strength with it?

Two fists collided without any embellishments, the clash of countless tons of force creating a deafening roar, followed by a spray of blood.

A miserable scream erupted as the bird-beaked Demon Clan member saw that it was left with only half of its forearm. Its entire fist and wrist had vanished.

Before it could fully vocalize its agony, the second punch struck, followed by the third, the fourth, and a relentless barrage of punches raining down like a violent storm. It left no space for evasion.

In just a moment, Wang Hong stood amidst a pool of blood, with the lifeless body of a golden-winged Roc Bird on the ground. Its head and wings were a gruesome mass of flesh and blood, clearly shattered by the sheer brutality.

Wang Hong lifted the corpse, flew into the air above the Demon Clan army, and circled several times, ensuring that all the Demon Clan members could see it.

Upon witnessing even a Tier Four Ancestor's death, the morale of the Demon Clan plummeted. Many of the Demonic Beasts had been forced into this situation and were now eager to escape, especially now that their ancestor was dead.

Seeing these fleeing Demonic Beasts, Wang Hong decided not to pursue them for the time being, which encouraged more of the Demon Clan to flee the battlefield.
