After Wang Hong finished observing the Poisonous Bees, he checked on the growth of Poisonous Herbs within the Poisonous Bees' garden.
In the garden, dozens of Poisonous Herbs were cultivated separately, shielded by a Spirit Qi barrier that even prevented the Poisonous Bees from entering. They had been growing for over ten thousand years now.
Wang Hong had already tested the effects of the Ten Thousand-Year Spiritual Herb, and its effectiveness was comparable to the essence of creation itself, contributing to the advancement of his Nascent Soul cultivation level.
However, he had not yet experimented with these Ten Thousand-Year Poisonous Herbs. He remained uncertain about their effects and how to utilize them effectively.
These Poisonous Herbs were different from Spiritual Herbs. While he could divide the Ten Thousand-Year Spiritual Herb into smaller portions and consume them gradually, he couldn't do the same with the Poisonous Herbs and feed them to enemies one piece at a time.
Moreover, if the Ten Thousand-Year Poisonous Herbs exhibited similar characteristics to the Ten Thousand-Year Spiritual Herb, releasing them into space would cause significant Spiritual Energy fluctuations. How would he discreetly poison his foes then?
As for refining them into poisonous pills or the like, his current level of alchemy skills was not up to the task. He could only contemplate studying them further when he had the time.
After completing his inspection of the Poisonous Herbs garden, Wang Hong left and slowly made his way to other areas.
Ever since he condensed his Nascent Soul, his physical presence within the Space became corporeal. He could now step onto solid ground and directly touch the flowers, plants, and trees within Space.
Furthermore, after achieving the Nascent Soul stage, his connection with Space had become even more intimate. Controlling the Spirit Qi within Space had become easier for him.
It seemed that various Spiritual Objects growing within Space were subtly linked to him. The Spiritual Objects within Space appeared to rely on him in some way.
When Wang Hong reached the spot where he had placed the Yellow Gourd, he reached out and picked it up. As he shook it in his hand, he felt that the liquid inside was already full.
In reality, the gourd had been maturing here for several decades, absorbing Spirit Qi within Space, and filling only a single gourd. It wasn't a large amount by any means.
During these decades, the small portion of gourd root that he had left behind had sprouted again, growing several inches long.
Wang Hong had been keeping an eye on this gourd for a while now, and finally, he had the time to thoroughly study its properties.
He first left his cave mansion, activating all the protective formations within it. Only then did he take the gourd out of Space.
However, unlike the Ten Thousand-Year Spiritual Herbs he had taken out earlier, the gourd didn't emit a significant Spiritual Energy fluctuation upon leaving Space.
He examined it closely, turning it over and over in his hand, but it appeared unremarkable, just like any ordinary object.
After pondering for a long time, he couldn't find anything special about the gourd. Although it had accumulated some liquid inside, he couldn't figure out how to pour it out without damaging the gourd's integrity. It might even be rendered useless if he tried to cut it open forcibly.
At one point, Wang Hong felt that he had been deceived. He had occupied such a vast space for it and spent so much time, and in the end, the fruit it produced didn't seem very useful.
Finally, feeling frustrated, he made up his mind and took out his Flying Sword, carefully opening a small slit in the gourd.
He found a cup and poured the liquid out.
The liquid in the cup had a faint yellow color, looked refreshing, and had no distinctive odor or Spiritual Qi emanating from it. In summary, it seemed entirely ordinary.
It looked tempting, but Wang Hong couldn't be sure if it was safe to consume. He didn't want to risk poisoning himself, especially now that he had just achieved the Nascent Soul stage and had a promising future ahead.
Yet, his inner food lover couldn't help but feel that this pale yellow, transparent, and clear liquid must taste incredible.
However, in the end, rationality triumphed over desire. No matter how delicious something might be, it wasn't worth risking his life.
He sent out a Transmission Talisman.
"Skinny Monkey! Help me capture a few live young Demonic Beasts. I need them for experimentation."
After a brief moment, Skinny Monkey replied, "East Master, do you want males or females?"
"You can choose whichever you prefer."
Half an hour later, Skinny Monkey delivered a Spirit Beast bag containing over a dozen low-tier Demonic Beasts, all huddled together and trembling.
Wang Hong accepted the Demonic Beasts and dismissed Skinny Monkey before beginning his experiments.
He first took one of the small Demonic Beasts, pried open its tightly shut mouth, and used a small spoon to feed it a spoonful of the liquid.
Then, he threw the frightened little creature onto the ground and observed its reactions closely.
Initially, the small creature appeared nervous, but after a while, it seemed to remember that it had been fed something strange forcibly.
However, the taste was so delicious! The small creature couldn't help but smack its lips and lick them, seemingly savoring the flavor.
Seeing the expression on the creature's face, it seemed genuinely delicious, and Wang Hong suddenly felt like he had missed out.
However, he couldn't be certain that the liquid was safe to consume based on this alone and needed further observation.
Next, he fed all these small creatures another spoonful each and then left them on the ground without further attention.
With each Demonic Beast he fed, he couldn't help but feel like he was wasting such a delicious substance on creatures like Demonic Beasts.
He continued feeding these small creatures for three days. Initially resistant, they eventually approached him willingly, appearing healthy and showing no signs of abnormality.
It seemed that this Spirit Fluid was indeed safe to consume. With this realization, he found a Spirit Beast room and threw all the small creatures inside.
Then, he rushed to the location where he had placed the Yellow Gourd, eagerly pouring himself a cup and taking a sip.
The yellow, clear liquid had a refreshing taste with a hint of sweetness, followed by a soothing sensation that felt like it was cleansing his soul.
However, the effects of that small sip quickly faded away. He checked his body and felt a slight lightness, as if he had shed some weight.
Hastily, he drank the rest of the cup, and soon, that refreshing feeling swept through his entire body again, making him almost moan with pleasure.
After finishing the entire cup, this lightness became even more pronounced.
He examined his Divine Sense, and everything appeared normal. Moreover, he felt that his cultivation aptitude had improved slightly.
Although he still had four Spiritual Roots, the spirituality of each Spiritual Root had increased, making him more attuned to Spirit Qi.
In the Cultivation World, the commonly held belief was that the more Spiritual Roots a person had, the lower their aptitude. This was mainly because individuals with multiple Spiritual Roots had lower spiritualities for each root, resulting in poor affinity with Spirit Qi.
An improved affinity with Spirit Qi naturally led to a significantly faster absorption rate.
Each person's Spiritual Root attributes were innate and nearly impossible to change later on.
Items that could enhance Spiritual Root aptitude were incredibly rare and almost impossible to obtain.
However, Wang Hong had discovered that this liquid possessed such miraculous effects, leaving him inexplicably overjoyed.
Next, he sat at the table, pouring several cups of the liquid and downing them all in one go.
As before, a sense of euphoria washed over him, but this time, since he had consumed a larger quantity, it took a considerable amount of time for the effects to dissipate.
This time, the sensation of improved aptitude was even more pronounced.
