Today we are going to learn how to play the song Daydream by Spoonful of Lovin' on the Ukulele. The song might not have the name recognition but just about everybody knows the melody and knows how to sing the song and the best part is... it is an easy beginner song!   The song only has easy chords and a very easy strum pattern. For the more advanced player we will walk you through the entire melody as well so you are able to play it with a friend, play it over a backing track or create a chord melody version of it.

Will Improve

  • Staccato strum
  • Changing chords in the middle of a measure
  • Daydreaming when you should be working
  • Laying on stranger's lawns
  • Melody with passing tones
  • Use of the flat 2nd interval in your melody

Fun lesson. The melody notes for the verse and chours sheets are the same. Is this correct? The verse notes do not match the video.

Hi Tyler. I have been going through the sheet music videos and I am going to start the chord melody challenge soon. In this video you said that it's possible to change the melody into a chord melody. Do you have a video on how to create chord melodies from just the melody like this songs melody? Thanks. I'm finally trying to do more music theory and evolve as a player rather than just playing songs and you have so much brilliant content!! ☺️☺️
